Random minigames and world events

Tips
In short The unpredictable events are what make multiplayer sessions worth having.

Between waffles, the game can interrupt normal play with random minigames where you compete against other players in the server. Separately, world events — including a nuke, a surfing wave, a tornado, and more — can erupt at any time and affect everyone at once.

Tips worth knowing
  • Random minigames let players in the same server compete against each other.
  • World events are server-wide and fire off without warning.
  • The four newest world events — including surfing and a tornado — were added in the 100 Million Visits update.

Waffle types you will encounter

Summary
In short Waffles appear in random order, so discovering new types is simply a matter of keeping at it.

The waffle that drops after each round is chosen at random from the full pool of available types. Alongside the basic plain waffle, ten new types were added in the 100 Million Visits update. Seasonal and event waffles — like the pumpkin waffle during Halloween — only appear while their events are active.

Plain waffle the standard starting type.
Candle, chocolate, candy, angel, blueberry, bubble six of the ten types added in the 100 Million Visits update.
Golden waffle rare; biting it earns the 'The golden one' badge.
Burned pieces eating too many earns the 'I like the crispy parts' badge, at the cost of your character.
Pumpkin waffle only available during the Halloween event.
Pie only available on March 14 (International Pi Day).

Badges and how to earn them

Check
In short Most badges come naturally from playing, but several require you to be online during specific events or dates.

The game has sixteen badges in total. Some unlock just by playing normally; others are tied to holidays, leaderboard performance, or rare moments. The four Waffle Collector badges track how many distinct waffle types you have discovered, pushing you to keep playing until you have seen all of them.

  • Are you full yet? finish any single waffle all the way through.
  • Common / Rarer / Epic / Legendary / Mythical Waffle Collector discover 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and then every single waffle type respectively.
  • The golden one bite the golden waffle when it appears (it is rare, so stay patient).
  • I like the crispy parts eat enough burned pieces to die; this one happens by accident.
  • Weekly Champion finish in the top 10 on a weekly leaderboard before the week resets.
  • Seasonal badges the Halloween pumpkin waffle bite, defeating the Pumpkin Boss, the Pi Day pie, and the Waffle Day login all require you to be in the game on the right date.

Common questions

FAQ

Can I earn seasonal badges if I missed the event?

The Halloween and Pi Day badges require you to be in the game while those events are active, so missing the window means waiting until the next time they return. The Waffle Day badge requires you to log in on March 25.
