Getting started before your first run

Step

In short Check your controls and settings before you step into any stage.

You can open the Settings menu to toggle Cinematic Mode, which hides the UI for a cleaner view.

Open Settings switch Cinematic Mode on or off depending on whether you want the UI visible.
Revert the jump if needed the August 12, 2026 update added an option to go back to the old jump feel if the new one bothers you.

In short The Minecart and Generator stages each have their own pattern.

The game features a Minecart stage and a Generator stage alongside other environments.

Minecart stage	as of the August 12, 2026 update, Seek now chases you through this phase and you can see other players' minecarts.
Generator stage	you interact with the generator while avoiding Seek.

Known issues to watch for

Getting more playtime and using private servers

The game is free to play on public servers, but two options let you do more with your time in it.

Modifiers are available in private servers.
Speed-boosting tools were nerfed in public servers as of August 12, 2026, but remain unchanged in private servers.

Glossary

Chase: The sequence where Seek actively pursues your character and you must outrun it to survive.
Minecart stage: A stage where you ride a moving minecart while Seek chases you through the same phase.
Generator stage: A stage where you interact with a generator while avoiding Seek.
Cinematic Mode: A display option in Settings that hides the UI so the screen is unobstructed.
Modifier: A setting that changes how the game plays, available only in private servers.
MoonJug: An item that is now exclusive to members of the developer's Roblox group.

FAQ

Can I play for free?

Yes, public servers are completely free. Liking the game after a session keeps it open for longer.

Why does Seek suddenly get faster when I'm well ahead of it?

Seek speeds up when you are far away.

What do I do if something clearly bugs out?

Room generation and the Minecart stage are known to have issues. Join the developer's group, which is the official place to report bugs and suggest fixes.

Do speed tools work the same everywhere?

No. As of August 12, 2026, speed-boosting tools were slowed down in public servers. They remain at their original strength in private servers.
