The game runs on a small set of controls you will use constantly. Getting comfortable with all of them from the start saves a lot of time.
- Run move around to earn speed multiplier; this is the core action the whole game is built on.
- Cultivate press G on keyboard or the Up Arrow key to begin cultivating.
- Sprint press Left Ctrl on keyboard or L2 on a controller to dash quickly.
- Break through Realms become Immortal and push through Realms to raise your speed multiplier further.

The progression loop
StepEgor Speed follows a clear cycle. Each pass through it pushes your multiplier higher and unlocks the next form.
- Run stay moving as much as possible; running is how you earn speed multiplier and unlock bigger auras and phonks.
- Cultivate press G or Up Arrow to start cultivating once you are ready; this is a separate action from simply running.
- Become Immortal reach the Immortal state so you can break through Realms and add another layer to your multiplier.
- Break through Realms each Realm you push past increases your speed multiplier again, sending you back into the run-and-cultivate cycle at a higher level.
- Climb the leaderboards use your growing multiplier to compete across every leaderboard in the game.
25 progression stages
TipsEach stage is marked by a badge you earn as your speed multiplier grows. The names hint at how far along you are — early stages describe a beginner picking up speed, mid stages introduce darkness and power themes, and the final stages reach concepts like breaking reality itself.
- New Speedster and Rookie Speedster are the opening stages — your speed is still low here.
- Expert Speedster signals you are genuinely picking up pace.
- Stages like Dark Speedster, Dark Egor, and Fallen Egor mark a shift into a darker theme midway through progression.
- Omega Egor represents a fully awakened state, while Scarlet Egor and Celestial Egor push into godlike territory.
- The final badge, Reality Egor, describes someone who has nearly broken reality itself.
- Five stages — Swapped Speedster, Reverse Speedster, Mirrored Egor, Shifted Egor, and Mirage Egor — sit outside the main power-scaling line and represent alternate or unusual forms worth hunting separately.
Leaderboard top-1 reward

Glossary
Glossary- Speed Multiplier
- A number that scales how fast you move; you raise it by running, cultivating, and breaking through Realms.
- Cultivate
- A game-specific action started with G or the Up Arrow key that is separate from simply running.
- Realm
- A barrier you break through after becoming Immortal, which increases your speed multiplier each time.
- Aura
- A visual effect around your character that grows larger as your speed multiplier increases.
- Phonk
- An audio-visual element unlocked by running; more stages of phonk become available as you progress.
- Immortal
- A state you must reach before you can break through Realms and gain further multiplier boosts.
Common questions
FAQHow do I raise my speed multiplier?
Run as much as possible and use the Cultivate action with G or the Up Arrow key. Once you become Immortal, breaking through Realms adds another boost on top of that.
How do I get the tower badge?
You can beat the tower in Tower of Unstable Jumps to earn it through gameplay. Alternatively, buying the tower gamepass gives you the badge without completing the tower.
What do I get for reaching top 1 on the leaderboards?
Claiming top 1 on every leaderboard unlocks a special chat message. It makes you stand out to every other player in the room.
What are the alternate stages like Swapped or Mirrored Egor?
These five stages — Swapped Speedster, Reverse Speedster, Mirrored Egor, Shifted Egor, and Mirage Egor — are outside the main progression line.
