First steps when you spawn

Step
In short Spending your first moments checking your surroundings and gathering resources beats rushing into a fight.

The world is immediately dangerous, so taking a breath before doing anything else pays off. Explosions can catch new players off guard, and infected creatures can appear before you have any way to defend yourself. Your first weapon comes from crafting, which means resources come before everything else.

  1. Scan for danger look around for explosions or nearby infected before moving anywhere.
  2. Find a quieter area put some distance between yourself and obvious threats before you start collecting.
  3. Gather resources pick up materials as soon as it is safe to do so, since crafting depends on them.
  4. Craft your first weapon keep collecting until you have enough to build something you can fight with.
  5. Look for allies spot other players who seem cooperative and consider teaming up early.

Fighting infected creatures and mutations

Tips
In short Going into combat prepared and knowing when to retreat keeps you alive far longer than aggressive play.

Infected creatures are dangerous, and the mutated enemies are stronger still. Picking your moments matters more than attacking on sight. When the odds are stacked against you, running is a legitimate strategy, not a failure.

Tips worth knowing
  • Always have a crafted weapon before you engage an enemy.
  • Try to face one enemy at a time rather than letting a group surround you.
  • If a mutated enemy is clearly overwhelming you, pull back instead of fighting to the death.

04

Staying human versus embracing the virus

Table
In short Neither path is strictly better — staying human rewards careful weapon play while mutation trades that control for raw combat strength.

At some point the game gives you a choice about the Fur Virus. It is one of the defining decisions of each run, and understanding what each side means before you commit helps you pick the one that suits how you want to play.

Humanfight using crafted weapons and tactics, keeping your identity intact.
Mutatedgain stronger physical abilities and take on tougher enemies with your transformed body.
05

Teamwork in a 30-player server

Check
In short A coordinated team can handle threats that would finish off a lone survivor.

Servers hold up to 30 players, which means there are potential allies around you at almost all times. Cooperation is real, but so is PvP — someone who looks friendly can turn hostile. Building a reliable group early and dividing tasks between members gives your whole team a meaningful edge.

  • Identify cooperative players in the opening minutes and stick close to them.
  • Split roles so some players focus on combat while others gather resources.
  • Share weapons and materials within the team rather than hoarding individually.
06

Threats beyond the infected

Warn
In short The environment and other players can end your run just as quickly as any creature.

Infected enemies are not the only thing trying to kill you. Keeping awareness of your surroundings at all times is as important as having a good weapon.

Worth watching out for
Explosions happen in the world always know your nearest escape route.
Other players can and do turn on survivors they were just fighting alongside.

A single server holds up to 30 players. All cooperation and PvP combat happens within that group of 30.

Yes, the game gives you that choice. Staying human means relying on crafted weapons and tactics, while accepting the virus physically strengthens your character for tougher combat.

Can teammates attack me?

PvP combat is part of the game, so any other player in the server is capable of attacking you.
