Getting started — your first steps in the game
Step
When you first join, you will be asked to choose a side: good or evil. After that, the game opens up into quests, potion crafting, and character collection.
- Pick your side decide whether you want to fight for good or evil before you do anything else.
- Brew a potion complete your first potion to earn the First Potion badge.
- Take on a quest the Cowboy quest and the Halloween quest are both completable goals that reward you for finishing them.
- Collect characters owning a character like Eames, Shax, or Melinda earns you a badge and adds that character to your roster.
- Watch for events some rewards, like the Cleanse Your Aura Spell, are only handed out during limited-time events.

Some unlocks are tied entirely to limited-time events. The Cleanse Your Aura Spell is a clear example — there is no other way to get it. Check the official group page regularly so you know when events are live.
Characters and how unlocking them works
Tips
The game has a wide roster to collect. Each character you obtain earns you a corresponding badge automatically. The Custom Bundle grants its own separate badge.
- The Crone, Evil Witch, Eames, Shax, Zankou, Neena, Melinda, Vampire Queen, Tuatha, and Gideon each have their own ownership badge.
- Wyatt's Excalibur badge unlocks that weapon for use in-game as Wyatt.
- The Custom Bundle badge is separate from individual character badges — owning the bundle is what triggers it.

- An item you craft in-game; completing your first one earns the First Potion badge.
- Spell
- An ability you can unlock and use in-game, with some spells only available as event rewards.
