Illegal Soccer is a 4v4 soccer game where guns, grappling hooks, jetpacks, and oil spills are all fair play — because there are no referees. Goals still decide the winner, so the chaos is a tool, not the point.
In shortKeeping an eye on stamina and the control guide on the right will save you in moments that matter.
The control guide on the right side of the screen is your most reliable reference during a match, because remapped keys mean any fixed list of buttons can be wrong for your setup. The score and time remaining sit at the top of the screen. At the bottom, the green bar is your stamina and the two numbered slots show the items you have equipped.
The control guide on the right side of the screen reflects your actual key layoutalways check it rather than memorising a fixed list.
The green bar at the bottom of the screen is your staminakeep at least one bar in reserve for sprints toward goal or a run back to defend.
Slots 1 and 2 at the bottom show which items you are carrying right now.
The colour of the ring around your feet tells you which team you are onuse it to spot teammates at a glance.
Score and time remaining are both shown at the top of the screen.
In shortMoving the goalkeeper sideways with a wide pass before shooting is the most reliable way to open the net.
Shooting straight at the goalkeeper from the front is easy to stop. The more reliable method is to pull the keeper to one side first, then aim for the opposite corner or slide the ball across to a teammate in a better position. Dribbling is useful for beating one defender, but pass before two or more close in on you.
Tips worth knowing
If the goalkeeper drifts to their left, aim your shot at the right corner of the net.
If the goalkeeper drifts to their right, aim at the left corner instead.
When the direct route to goal is blocked, pass wide rather than forcing a shot.
Use the ball-request action to signal a teammate that you are free to receive a pass.
After a shot, either chase the rebound or turn and get back into position immediately.

Defending without leaving gaps
Warn
In shortChasing only the ball carrier leaves the rest of your goal wide open — always cover the next pass option too.
The most common defensive mistake is sending every player toward the ball at once. When the opponent plays a quick pass, your whole team is out of position and the goal is empty. One player presses the ball carrier; a second player moves to cut off the most obvious pass target. Tackles work best when the opponent is close and you approach from a slight angle rather than straight on.
Worth watching out for
Chasing the ball with your whole team leaves the goal unguardedkeep at least one player between the ball and your net.
The last defender should resist moving forward; one through-ball can turn a 2v1 into a goal against you.
Spamming the tackle button from a distance usually misseswait until the opponent is right next to you.
Oil and barriers can block your own teammates' paths just as easily as the opponent's, so place them away from routes your team uses.
Keep one bar of stamina in reserve so you can sprint back after losing possession.

Item loadout and timing
Table
In shortCarrying one movement item and one defensive or disruptive item lets you contribute in attack and defence.
You take two item slots into each match. Saving an item for the right moment — an opponent about to shoot, a teammate running into the box, a moment when you are about to lose the ball — produces far better results than using it the instant you pick it up. Lucky Blocks appear during matches and can hand out additional tools, but abandoning your position to grab one often costs more than the item is worth.
Grappling hook / jetpack
movement, good for reaching loose balls quickly or tracking back to defend.
Force field
protection while carrying the ball forward.
Barricade
blocks shooting lanes in front of your own goal.
Rocket punch / gun
disrupting a fast break or stopping an incoming shot.
Oil / mine-type items
closes off corridors, but keep them away from paths your own team needs.
07
Fixes when you keep losing
Check
In shortMost losing streaks come from forgetting the soccer fundamentals, not from having worse weapons.
When matches keep going badly, check the soccer basics before looking at your item choices. The most common pattern is focusing on eliminating opponents rather than on the scoreline and time. Fixing just one of the habits below often changes how much the game involves you.
Check that you are watching the score and timer, not just chasing opponents around the field.
Make sure you are not holding the ball too longpassing before you are surrounded keeps possession alive.
Confirm that your whole team is not chasing the same player and leaving your own goal empty.
Make sure you are not burning all your stamina in the opening seconds and then walking when it matters.
Check whether you are using items the moment you pick them up instead of saving them for a key situation.
Verify that you are getting back into position immediately after a goal rather than celebrating in the opponent's half.

Common questions
FAQ
What should I do the moment I load into the game?
Open settings and turn on Assisted Passes, then head to the practice area and do one pass, one shot, one tackle, and one item use so the controls feel natural. Once those actions come without thinking, step onto the red or blue joining pad to pick your team and start a match.
Why does the match keep going after the timer hits zero?
If the team that is losing by one goal still has the ball when time runs out, they get a last-chance attack and play continues. The match ends when they lose possession, and it goes to extra time if they manage to equalise.
Can oil or barriers hurt my own team?
Yes — those items block movement for anyone who passes through them, including your teammates. Before you place one, check that it is not sitting across a path your own players need to use for passing or getting back to defend.
Do I need to spend Robux to get more items?
No. Coins earned through matches and levelling up can be used in the shop's draw, so it is possible to expand your item collection without spending Robux at all.
