Survive Overnight in a Mega Store drops you inside a giant supermarket where you have to build a fort before nightfall and stay alive when the staff turn hostile. This guide covers how to start strong, push through the early days, handle special nights, and deal with the CEO boss event.
In shortGetting your location, food, and a basic fort sorted on Day 1 gives you a fighting chance at the first night.
You start with nothing, so the first thing to do is pick a spot to build. Corner areas and sections with industrial shelving limit the number of directions enemies can approach from. Once you have a spot, spend the rest of the daylight hours collecting food and shelves before throwing up even a rough four-sided fort.
Pick a base locationcorners and wall edges cut down the angles enemies can attack from.
Grab food and drinksenergy management matters from the very first night, so these come before anything else.
Collect shelvesthey are your main building material for walls and roofing.
Box yourself infour walls of shelving is enough to survive the first night even if it looks rough.
Point lights inwardany light leaking outside helps enemies find your position.
In shortClosing your roof and doubling up your entrance on Day 2, then fixing a supply route on Day 3, sets you up for everything that follows.
A single door gets broken through fast, so Day 2 morning is the time to add a second layer to your entrance. Sealing the roof is the other urgent job — an open top is a serious weakness during special events and enemy rushes. By Day 3, you want a fixed route connecting the refrigerated section, the stockroom, and the bedding area, with markers so you can run it quickly in the dark.
Day 2 morningpatch any gaps in your walls and add a second door layer so enemies take longer to break in.
Day 2 daytimeseal the roof completely before the next night arrives.
Day 2 nightpractice luring enemies into narrow passages and cutting them off with shelves rather than running in the open.
Day 3 daytimeplace markers along your supply route and set up a small secondary shelter you can duck into if things go wrong.
Day 3 nighthave an escape path ready before trouble starts; surviving matters more than holding the fort.

HALLOWEEN 2026
🎃 HALLOWEEN 2026 UPDATE 🎃
🪦 The Graveyard
A brand new graveyard has risen inside the store. A secret lies here...
…
In shortEach enemy type has a different weakness, so reading who is chasing you before you react makes a real difference.
Three types of hostile staff appear at night, and the CEO is in a category of its own. Regular staff are the easiest to lose, fast staff are the most punishing if you sprint carelessly, and heavy staff can physically destroy your walls. The CEO cannot be defeated under any circumstances.
Regular staff
zigzag through cover and stay quiet; they lose track of you if you avoid making noise.
Fast staff
draw them into a maze-style fort or high ground; they react strongly to the sound of sprinting.
Heavy staff
slow but destructive; use a double-door entrance or a decoy corridor to buy time while they chew through walls.
CEO
unkillable; your only goal when the alarm sounds is to reach the alarm terminal and escape.

Getting through the CEO event
Warn
In shortThe CEO cannot be beaten, so every decision during the alarm should be about reaching the terminal and getting out.
The CEO deals massive damage in a single hit and is impossible to defeat in combat. Fighting it at all wastes time you need to disarm the alarm. In a team, splitting into a distraction role, a terminal role, and a guard role dramatically improves your chances. Solo players should move silently and avoid sprinting or jumping, which give away your position.
Worth watching out for
Never engage the CEO directlyturn around and move.
Find alarm terminal locations during the day so you are not searching blind when the alarm goes off.
Prepare at least two escape routes before nightfall because the CEO can destroy walls you are counting on.
In a team, split rolesone player distracts, one disarms, one guards the disarmer.
Solo players should cut all unnecessary soundno sprinting, no jumping — and stick to stealth movement throughout the event.
06
Special night events
Check
In shortEach special event has its own right response, and knowing them in advance is most of the battle.
Blood Night, Fog Night, Blackout Night, and Thunderstorm nights each change the rules in a different way. Reacting to all of them the same way is the fastest route to losing. Check which event is active as soon as you see the warning, then adjust.
Blood Night is activefull lockdown inside your fort; do not go outside for any reason.
Fog Night is activeenemies also have shorter detection range, but you can walk into one before you see it, so move in short steps close to cover.
Blackout Night is activekeep lighting to the bare minimum; every extra light source is a signal to enemies.
Thunderstorm night is activestay inside a roofed base and wait it out.
Any special night approachingconfirm you have three days of food and materials stockpiled before the night starts.

In shortStacking your defenses in layers and running multiple bases at once is what keeps you alive past Day 7.
From Day 4 onward, a single box fort is not enough. The goal is layered entrances, a sealed roof, and a high position to fall back to. From Day 7, running three separate bases — a main base, a supply base, and an emergency shelter — gives you options when one gets breached.
Tips worth knowing
Build a second and third door layer at your entrance to slow enemy breaches as much as possible.
Set up a decoy base with lights pointing outward to draw enemies away from your real position.
Keep a high-ground retreat space inside your main fort for moments when the ground floor is compromised.
Maintain at least three days' worth of food and building materials at all times so a bad night does not leave you empty.
Always have two exit routes from any base; a single exit is a trap.
08
Troubleshooting when you keep dying
Check
In shortMost repeated deaths come down to lighting leaks, shelf gaps, or running out of stamina rather than bad luck.
Before blaming the game, go through this list. Structural mistakes kill players far more often than enemy difficulty does. Mobile players should pay extra attention to shelf rotation, since touch controls make it easy to leave small gaps you do not notice until something walks through them.
Lights are facing inwardany outward-facing light marks your base on the enemies' map.
No gaps in the wallsa single misrotated shelf leaves an opening enemies will find.
Roof is fully sealedan open top is a weakness in almost every special event.
Stamina is managedsprinting constantly leads to a stamina crash right when you most need to run.
Inventory has spacea full inventory means you cannot pick up something critical during an emergency.
Two exit routes existone way out means you can be cornered with nowhere to go.

Glossary
Glossary
Fort (Base)
A defensive structure you build from shelves and boxes; a sealed roof and a double entrance are the standard target.
Day-night cycle
The core rhythm of the game: daytime is for gathering and building, nighttime is for defending and surviving.
CEO
A giant boss enemy that appears when an alarm triggers; it cannot be defeated and must be escaped by disarming the alarm terminal.
Blood Night
A special event where enemies move and hit much harder than usual; staying locked inside your fort is the only reliable response.
Fog Night
A special event that cuts visibility sharply; enemies also detect you at shorter range, but you can stumble into one before seeing it.
Blackout Night
A special event that kills all store lighting; using too many of your own lights reveals your position to enemies.
Decoy base
A fake base you build with outward-facing lights to draw enemies away from the fort you are actually hiding in.
Stamina
Your sprinting resource; run it empty and you slow to a walk, which usually means you cannot outrun an enemy.
Supply route
A fixed path between key resource spots that you mark so you can run it quickly and safely each day.
Heavy staff
A slow but wall-destroying enemy type that requires layered doors or a decoy corridor to hold off long enough to survive.
Common questions
FAQ
Can you play solo or do you need a team?
Solo play works fine through the early and middle days. The CEO event is significantly harder alone because you cannot split the distraction and terminal roles between players. If you want to take on the CEO, bringing friends makes a real difference.
Do you need to spend Robux to enjoy the game?
Every part of the gameplay — building, exploring, surviving special nights, and the CEO event — is available without spending anything. Paid items are cosmetic, so they do not affect how well you perform. Start free and see how far you can get.
Why does the game keep finding my base at night?
The most common reason is light leaking outward through misplaced lights or gaps in your walls. Check that every light source faces inward and rotate any shelves that are not sitting flush. Fixing those two things solves the problem in most cases.
What should I do when special events start happening back to back?
Special events ramp up from Day 10 onward. The key is checking which event is active before you act, because Blood Night, Fog Night, and Blackout Night all need a different response. Getting into the habit of reading the event warning before moving is what separates players who survive from players who do not.
I play on mobile and my fort always has gaps. Any advice?
Touch controls make shelf rotation less precise than on a keyboard, so small gaps are common. If you are in a team, ask a PC player to handle the building. If you are solo, check every wall segment after you place it and patch gaps immediately rather than leaving them for later.
