About

Overview

Kaiju Alpha is a multiplayer battle game where up to 25 players control giant monsters and robots and fight each other on the same server. Each kaiju has five skills and two roars, and you grow your roster by collecting cells, experience, and kill counts through combat. This guide covers how to get started, earn resources efficiently, and avoid the mistakes that slow most players down.

Your first few minutes in the game

Step
In short Testing every skill on a free kaiju before you spend anything is the fastest way to get ready.

Start with a kaiju you already own or one that is free in the selection screen. Once you spawn, move away from the centre of the action toward a quieter stretch of road so you can experiment without being overwhelmed. Work through skills 1 to 5 one at a time to figure out which are ranged, which are close-range, which help you move, and which are big finishing moves. After that, press R and T to try both roars and pay attention to any period where you cannot act afterward.

  1. Pick a kaiju choose one you already own or one that is listed as free.
  2. Find space move to a wide road where fewer players are fighting.
  3. Test skills press 1 through 5 one at a time and note what each does.
  4. Try roars press R and T and watch for effects and any downtime that follows.
  5. Check unlock requirements before spending any cells, look up what your next target kaiju actually needs.

Earning cells, experience, and kill counts

Tips
In short Hitting multiple targets from the edge of a group fight earns resources faster than hunting for solo kills.

Three numbers drive your progress: cells unlock new kaiju, experience levels up the kaiju you are using right now, and kill counts satisfy certain unlock conditions. You do not need to land the final blow — if you dealt damage to a kaiju before someone else finishes it off, you still earn cells and experience as an assist. Join busy servers, hang back from the centre of a brawl, and fire ranged or area attacks into the crowd. After attacking, side-step to dodge return fire before going again. Splitting your time across many kaiju slows everything down, so concentrate on one main kaiju until it meets your goals.

Tips worth knowing
  • Join servers with more players so group fights happen more often.
  • Attack from the outside edge of a fight, using long-range or area skills.
  • Switch targets often rather than chasing one opponent across the map.
  • Dodge after attacking by moving sideways instead of standing still.
  • Stick to one kaiju for grinding so experience and kill counts stack up quickly.
03

Combat mistakes that are easy to fix

Check
In short Stopping in front of an opponent and burning all your skills at once are the two habits that hurt you most.

When fights go badly, position and skill management are almost always the cause. Standing still in front of an enemy means every beam or ranged attack hits you cleanly; circling left or right breaks that pattern. Using all five skills back to back leaves you with nothing when you need to escape, so keep at least one movement or escape skill in reserve. If your health is dropping fast, use terrain or buildings to break line of sight and pull back. If cells or experience seem to stop increasing over a long stretch, leaving and rejoining the game can clear the problem.

  • Position are you attacking from the outside of the fight rather than the middle?
  • Movement are you circling sideways instead of standing in front of your target?
  • Skill reserve have you kept at least one skill available for escaping?
  • Big skill timing are you landing large skills when an opponent is mid-attack or looking away?
  • Unlock conditions have you checked whether your target kaiju needs a level, kill count, or a prerequisite kaiju on top of cells?
04

Choosing and unlocking kaiju without wasting cells

Table
In short Pick kaiju with ranged attacks early on, and always verify the full unlock requirements inside the game before you spend anything.

Ranged and area-attack kaiju are easier to play from the start because you do not have to close the distance before dealing damage. Close-range kaiju are better saved for when you are comfortable with movement. A beginner-friendly path that gets referenced often goes Junior Godzilla, then Godzilla 2014, then Kong 2017, then Godzilla 2019, but unlock conditions change with updates, so treat that as a rough direction rather than a fixed rule. Always open the purchase screen in the game itself on the day you plan to buy, because cells, level requirements, kill counts, and prerequisite kaiju can all change between updates.

Junior Godzillahas a beam attack, good for practising assists early on.
Godzilla 2014a mid-tier stepping stone toward later unlocks.
Kong 2017fills the conditions needed to progress toward the next tier.
Godzilla 2019covers both ranged and close-range play, useful for learning both styles.
Close-range kaijubetter chosen after you are confident with movement and positioning.
Any kaijuconfirm required cells, level, kill count, and prerequisite kaiju in-game before buying.

Playing on a phone or tablet

Tips
In short Aligning the camera before tapping a skill button is the single habit that makes mobile play work.

On mobile, the number keys are replaced by skill buttons on screen. Trying to move, rotate the camera, and tap skills all at once causes your fingers to overlap, so practise each action separately first. A beam or ranged skill will miss if the camera is pointing at the sky or the ground when you tap it, so always turn the camera toward your target first. Flying kaiju should not climb too high, or ground targets will leave the centre of the screen and become harder to hit. If the game feels slow or choppy, lower the graphics setting on the Roblox side and fight from the edge of group battles where there are fewer explosions on screen at once.

Tips worth knowing
  • Point the camera at your target before tapping any skill button.
  • Wait for a skill to respond rather than tapping it repeatedly.
  • Keep flying kaiju at a height where the target stays in the centre of the screen.
  • Lower Roblox graphics quality if movement feels delayed.
  • Move to a less crowded server or rejoin if lag continues.

Staying safe while you play

Warn
In short You never need to share personal information or use outside tools to make progress in this game.

Kaiju Alpha puts you in a server with players you do not know. Nothing in the game requires you to chat or share any details about yourself to progress. Any site asking for your Roblox password in exchange for cells, kills, or kaiju is not legitimate. Before spending Robux on kaiju or cosmetics, check with a parent or guardian first.

Worth watching out for
Never share your real name, contact details, or password with other players in the game.
Do not enter your Roblox password on any outside website.
Do not install cheat tools or unofficial programs that claim to modify the game.
Block players who bother you and use the report function for anyone breaking the rules.
Get a parent or guardian's approval before making any purchase.

Common questions

FAQ

Can I make real progress without spending Robux?

Yes. Cells and experience are earned through regular combat, so every kaiju unlock and level-up can be reached without paying.

Why can't I unlock a kaiju even though I have enough cells?

Many kaiju require more than just cells — a minimum level, a certain kill count, or ownership of a specific prerequisite kaiju can all block the unlock. Open the purchase screen for that kaiju in the game and read every condition listed there, not just the cell cost.

Why isn't my skill activating when I press the button?

A skill will not fire if it is still on cooldown, if you do not have enough energy, or if another action like a roar is already playing. Check the cooldown indicator and energy display before pressing again, and avoid tapping repeatedly or you may trigger a skill at the wrong moment.

What do the years in kaiju names like 2019 or 1954 mean?

The number usually refers to the film or era the design comes from. Even if two kaiju share a name like Godzilla, different years mean different in-game characters with their own skills, stats, and unlock conditions. Always check the full name including the year before you buy.

Is this game playable solo?

You can join a server alone, but the core activity is fighting other players' kaiju, so it is not a single-player game.
