Getting started with Riley

Step
In short Finding Riley and typing your first message is all it takes to kick off the game.

When you join, you land inside a school. Riley is the NPC you will be spending most of your time with, and almost everything in the game flows from talking to him. The game runs on typed chat, so what you type directly drives what happens.

  1. Join the game you appear inside the school world.
  2. Find Riley look around the school until you spot him.
  3. Start chatting type messages in the chat box to interact with him and begin unlocking badges.
  4. Say 'follow me' Riley will walk with you around the school, opening up new events.
  5. Say 'stop following me' Riley stops and stays where he is whenever you want a break.

Chat phrases that unlock badges

Tips
In short Typing specific phrases to Riley is the most direct way to collect badges.

Several badges are tied to exact things you type in the chat.

  • Type 'follow me' to earn the Follow badge and get Riley walking alongside you.
03

Items to find and give to Riley

Check

Some badges require you to pick up an item from somewhere in the school and then hand it to Riley or show it to him.

  • Get a rose from the gardening club area and give it to Riley.
  • Find the Dogman 5 book and show it to Riley it is his favourite book and triggers its own badge.
  • After speaking with Violet, go to Ray and say 'Hey Ray wanna visit gardening club?' to earn the gardening club invite badge.
04

NPC conversations you can trigger
