Getting started before the first round

Step
In short Finishing your character setup before the action begins means you will not fall behind your friends at the start.

When you first join, a character customization screen comes up. Take a moment here to set your look the way you want it. If you are playing with friends, everyone needs to finish customization before the group can move forward together.

  1. Change your character's appearance to whatever suits you.
  2. In a multiplayer session, all players must finish their setup before the group moves forward together.

How the minigame rotation works

Tips

Machine Party does not stick to one game mode. A fresh minigame begins with each new round, which means the rules, the goal, and the way you win can all change from one round to the next.

Tips worth knowing
  • Check the rules at the start of every round.
  • A different minigame comes right after each round ends.

Outplaying your friends

Table

Because you are competing against the same people across multiple rounds, patterns develop fast. A friend who notices you always do the same thing will start playing around it.

Vary your approachrepeating the same move every round lets opponents read you easily.
Track their habitsif a friend leans toward one type of action, you can anticipate it and plan around it.
Shift your timingacting at an unexpected moment can throw off someone who thinks they have your pattern figured out.
