First steps when you load in

Step
In short Finishing the tutorial before anything else is the fastest way to unlock every feature, including codes.

The game locks the code redemption screen until you complete the tutorial, so skipping it delays your free resources. Once the tutorial is done, redeem any active codes immediately — codes give Lumens, Clan Rolls, and other items that smooth out early progression. After that, equip whatever cursed technique you have and head into the open world.

  1. Complete the tutorial this is the gate that unlocks code entry and other features
  2. Redeem codes open the Codes button in the main menu, type carefully matching every capital letter, then hit Redeem
  3. Check your clan your clan shapes your stat bonuses and influences which techniques suit you best
  4. Equip a cursed technique an unequipped technique means drastically lower damage in every fight

How the Shrine technique works

Summary
In short Shrine is a special-grade cursed technique with five moves you unlock in order by spending Mastery and Yen, plus six Technique upgrades that each cost one Extra Shrine.

Shrine starts with Dismantle available by default. The remaining moves — Cleave, Web Slam, Fuga, and the domain expansion Malevolent Shrine — are locked behind Mastery thresholds and Yen costs. None of the Shrine moves can be held down; every activation is a single press. Fuga is the technique's heaviest attack, firing a flaming arrow that explodes and lingers, while Malevolent Shrine is the full domain expansion and demands materials beyond just Mastery and Yen.

  • Dismantle unlocked by default when you obtain Shrine
  • Cleave requires 5 Mastery and 10,000 Yen
  • Web Slam requires 15 Mastery and 25,000 Yen
  • Fuga requires 30 Mastery and 75,000 Yen
  • Malevolent Shrine requires 50 Mastery, 100,000 Yen, 3 Cursed Flesh, 3 Cursed Fingers, and 1 Domain Fragment
  • Technique upgrades (Extra 1–6) each costs 1 Extra Shrine and stacks stat bonuses onto specific moves

Passive abilities and when to get them

Check
In short Passive abilities run alongside your main technique and drain cursed energy, so you need a solid level and currency base before they are worth pursuing.

Passives are purchased from the Passive Ability Exchange NPC at Jujutsu Tech, near the AFK Rewards station and the Quest Master. Both available passives drain cursed energy while active. Reverse Cursed Technique boosts your passive healing, while Infinity Aura adds a stun and a large Limitless damage multiplier.

  • Reverse Cursed Technique requires Level 500, 1,000,000 Yen, 1 Reversal, and 1 Heavenly Fragment
  • Infinity Aura requires Level 2,500, 10,000,000 Yen, 3 Reversals, 2 Domain Fragments, and 1 Limitless Extra
  • Find the Passive Ability Exchange NPC near the AFK Rewards and Quest Master NPCs at Jujutsu Tech

Redeeming codes

Step
In short Codes give free Lumens, Clan Rolls, and Cursed Crystals, but they expire without warning, so redeem them the moment you see one.

The tutorial must be finished before the Codes screen becomes available. Codes are case-sensitive, so a single wrong capital letter will cause the redemption to fail.

  1. Finish the tutorial the code entry screen is locked until you do
  2. Open the main menu and select the Codes button
  3. Type the code exactly as written, matching every capital and lowercase letter
  4. Press Redeem and confirm the reward notification
  5. Move on quickly codes can expire at any time without advance notice
