Parkour Pandemic Guide: Basic movement controls
About
OverviewParkour Pandemic is a fast-paced running game where disasters tear the map apart around you and you have to survive until the round ends. Rounds get harder as time goes on, but activating beacons cuts that time short. This guide covers movement basics, advanced techniques, gears, and the disasters you will face.

Basic movement controls
CheckYour base running speed is 40 studs per second, and everything else builds on top of that. Dash and Slide both have default keys, but you can reassign them in the settings. The Dash recharges on its own over time, so there is a bar next to your character showing how much you have left. Wall Boost consumes a separate bar that resets when you touch the ground.
- Double Jump press Space again while airborne to extend your time in the air without losing momentum; you only get one per trip off the ground
- Slide press C to get a short burst of speed
- Dash press Q to shoot yourself forward; watch the recharge bar
- Wall Boost press Space near a wall to kick off it and keep most of your momentum moving away
- Ziplines touch one to ride it along its path; jump or dash at any point to leave early, and you keep your speed when you dismount

Advanced movement techniques
StepThese techniques take practice, but each one gives a real speed advantage once you have the timing down. Beacons are free momentum — hit them whenever you can.
- B-Hop land and immediately double jump before your momentum drops; you will hear a sound and your character flashes yellow when you nail it
- Slide and Dash jump, then hold Slide and press Dash just before you touch down; double jump straight after to carry the speed boost into the air
- Slide Parry while airborne and moving fast, press Slide the instant before you land; you will bounce slightly, reset your double jump, and lose none of your momentum
- Slide Chaining jump at the very start of a slide to carry that speed into the air, then double jump to let the slide recharge so you can chain the next one
- Beacon Bouncing beacons launch you upward without costing any momentum; hit several in a row to cover huge distances while staying fully airborne
The Guide NPC and gear recipes
SummaryThe Guide NPC stands in the lobby and hands out a series of quests that teach you movement mechanics. Finishing each quest unlocks both a reward and the recipe you need to purchase a specific gear from the Gear Specialist NPC. You cannot skip this step — without the recipe, the gear is not available to buy.
- Quest 1 reward 250 Volts and 250 XP
- Quest 2 reward Boost Gear recipe and 500 XP
- Quest 3 reward Power Gear recipe and 1,000 XP
- Quest 4 reward Grapple Gear recipe and 1,000 XP
Gear upgrades and what they change
TableVolts are the in-game currency used to buy gear. Each gear targets a different part of your movement.
| Speed Gear | raises your movement speed and gives you more wall boost uses per air trip |
| Boost Gear | extends how far each dash carries you and shortens the time it takes to recharge |
| Power Gear | replaces the standard dash with a Rocket Dash and unlocks Air Blast on the R key |
| Fusion Gear | combines the speed and dash bonuses of the other gears and adds a buff that lets you take a hit |
Surviving each disaster
TipsParkour Pandemic cycles through several disasters, and rounds get harder as the clock runs down. Activating beacons shortens the round timer. The Black Hole is the hardest event and rewards Fusion Gear on completion.
