Train Sim puts you in the cab of real European trains across maps based on Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, Germany, Austria, Romania, Italy, Hungary, France, the United Kingdom, and more. You complete routes to earn coins, climb through five driver ranks, and unlock badges along the way. This guide covers how to get started, how to rank up efficiently, and what the trickier challenge badges actually require.
In shortPick any train you like, complete your first route, and you are already on your way to the Operator rank.
When you load in, you choose a train from the roster of European countries before you do anything else. Once you are in a train, your job is to drive a route from start to finish — that is what earns you coins and pushes your rank forward. The five ranks in order are Novice, Operator, Engineer, Master, and Chief.

In shortLogging in every day and running at least one route keeps your streak and your coin balance growing steadily.
Routes and coins are the two things that drive everything else in the game. Badges mark your progress at 50, 250, 500, and 1,000 completed routes, so each run counts even when you are not chasing a specific goal. Coins come from driving and from daily quests.
Tips worth knowing
Run routes to keep your totals climbing toward the 50, 250, 500, and 1,000-route badges.
Complete daily quests alongside driving — they add coins on top of what your route pays out.
Log in every single day: collecting the daily reward for 30 days in a row earns you the Committed Operator badge.
Play on weekends whenever you can, because all payouts are 10% higher.
Aim for 100,000 coins total to unlock the Dedicated Hand badge.
