Platform and settings before you start

Check
In short Getting your platform and settings right before your first run saves a lot of frustration.

The game is designed for PC first. A couple of quick checks before you load in will make the experience much smoother.

  • Play on PC if you can mobile is not the intended experience and bugs are more common there.
  • On Linux, if the game looks unusually dark, go into settings and switch the graphics API.
  • If your chat is disabled and you need a lobby code, open settings and turn on 'show lobby code'.
  • Check the keybinds screen in settings before your first run and remap anything that feels awkward.

How roguelite runs work

Summary
In short Every run is different, and learning from failure is the main way you improve.

Stage layouts and item placements change each time you play.

  • Stage layout changes every run, so no two attempts play out the same way.
  • Items collected during a run and key to how far you can get.
  • RNG random elements affect both what items appear and how stages are shaped.

How do I find the lobby code when chat is turned off?
