Basic controls to learn first

Step

In short Getting comfortable with movement, jumping, and grabbing surfaces in the first few areas saves a lot of frustration later.

When you load in, the obstacle course is right in front of you. Before rushing ahead, take a moment in the early sections to feel out how your character moves. Each of the three core actions — walking, jumping, and climbing surfaces — will come up constantly throughout the whole stage.

Try moving walk forward, backward, and side to side to get a feel for the controls before you attempt any jumps.
Practice jumping hop up small ledges and get used to how far and how high your character reaches.
Grab walls and platforms try climbing and pulling yourself over edges so the motion feels natural when the stage gets harder.

The route up is not always a single straight line — there can be more than one path, so scan around before committing to a jump. Falling only sends you back to try again, so there is no penalty for experimenting.

Wings and what they do for you

Wings are an item you can obtain during the game. Once equipped, they raise your jump height and increase your movement speed, which can cut down on the number of times you fall on a section you keep failing.

Without wings	you rely entirely on normal jump height and base movement speed.
With wings	jump height increases and you move faster, making tall or wide gaps easier to cross.
