Five controls you need before your first match
Check
In short
All five inputs work together, so learning them before you queue saves a lot of early ring-outs.
Every action in Cat Battles maps to one of these five inputs.
- Click punch
- Right-click grab
- F kick
- Shift lift (pick a cat up)
- Q activate your ability

Three match types and how they differ

The core rule never changes — last cat on the ring wins — but choosing a team mode means you cannot attack your own teammates.
All three modes run on the same ring-out rules and share the ten-player cap. The only real difference is whether cats fight for themselves or for a colour.

Earning coins and opening crates
Step
In short
Every match you play feeds directly into your crate-opening progress.
Coins are earned each bout. Once you have enough, open a crate for a random reward. The pool includes furs at multiple rarities, sumo gear, and emotes.
- Play a match earn coins from the bout.
- Open a crate spend your coins at the crate for a random reward.
- Check what dropped you can receive a fur, sumo gear, or an emote.
- Repeat for rarer furs the fur pool includes Ginger, Tuxedo, Calico, Tiger, Snow Leopard, Gold, Crystal, Rainbow, Galaxy, Glitch, and more.

Redeem codes for free coins
StepIn short
Codes give you free coins you can immediately spend on crates, and each code works only once.
The game has a dedicated code-entry spot inside it. Once you redeem a code it cannot be used again. To catch new codes as they release, follow the developer and favourite the game.
- Find the code entry look for the input field inside the game.
- Type your code enter it exactly as given.
- Collect your coins the reward arrives after a valid entry.
- Spend the coins on crates.

Glossary- Ring
- The stage where matches take place; any cat that falls off the edge is eliminated.
- Crate
- A loot box you open with coins; can contain furs, sumo gear, or emotes.
- Fur
- A cosmetic skin that changes how your cat looks, available in multiple rarities.
- Ability
- A special move activated with Q during a match; one of eight is available each round.
- Lift
- The Shift-key move that picks up another cat.
Common questions
FAQHow many players can join one match?
Up to ten cats can take part in a single match. That cap applies to Classic, 2 Teams, and 4 Teams alike.
Do furs make my cat stronger in a fight?
Furs change your cat's appearance. There is no published link between which fur you wear and how much damage you deal or take.
Can I choose which ability I get?
The ability available to you can vary from match to match.
How do I get more codes when new ones come out?
Favouriting the game and following the developer are the two ways to get update notifications.
