The core loop from your first locker to your first sale

Step
In short Getting one character placed and one crate sold is the only goal you need for your first session.

Everything in Blue Lock Farm follows the same cycle: open a locker, place the character you get, collect the crates your character produces, and sell them for money. Lockers have a wait time after you buy them, so if no character appears straight away, check the timer before buying another. Once you have money coming in, you decide whether to spend it on a new locker or on upgrades.

  1. Buy a locker check the countdown timer so you know when it will be ready to open.
  2. Collect the character once the locker opens, take the character and place them at an open spot in your base.
  3. Confirm production watch that the character is actually producing balls before moving on.
  4. Sell the crate collect the crate the balls fill up, then sell it to turn it into money.

Why your income might not be growing

Check
In short Earning money, producing balls, and selling crates are three separate steps, and skipping any one of them stalls your progress.

A common early mistake is buying more lockers when the real problem is an unsold crate or an unplaced character. Before spending anything, run through these three checks.

  • Characters placed make sure every character you own is actually sitting in a base slot, not just sitting in your inventory.
  • Balls being produced confirm that placed characters are actively producing balls right now.
  • Crates sold check that you have not left any finished crates uncollected and unsold.
03

Upgrades and what each one fixes

Table
In short Spend upgrades on whichever part of the loop is slowing you down most, not equally across all options.

The Upgrades menu lets you strengthen several different parts of your setup, including crate value, luck, locker open speed, movement, and base size. Each upgrade has a cost, so check what you can afford and what budget you still need for lockers or other purchases before confirming anything.

Raising a character's grade at the Ranking stall

Tips
In short Decide how many rolls you can afford before you start, and save grade tokens for characters you plan to keep.

A character's grade affects the income multiplier they provide. You raise it by rolling at the Ranking stall in the plaza, spending either grade tokens or in-game money. The result is random, so there is no guarantee of landing the grade you want in any given number of rolls.

Tips worth knowing
  • Grade tokens let you roll without spending your in-game money, which keeps your locker and upgrade budget intact.
  • Avoid spending all your tokens on a character you are planning to replace soon.
  • Set a spending limit before you start rolling so you do not accidentally drain your locker or upgrade funds.
  • The Grade Speed Potion speeds up the rolling process but does not change the odds of a higher grade coming up.
05

Cash Potions and going offline the right way

Tips
In short Use Cash Potions when you are already selling crates smoothly, and always place every character before you log off.

Lockers keep opening and income keeps building while you are offline, so how you leave the game matters. A Cash Potion boosts income for a set time.

Tips worth knowing
  • Read the Cash Potion's description and check the remaining duration before activating it.
  • Before logging off, make sure every character is placed in your base so they keep producing while you are away.
  • When you log back in, check your income total and locker status before deciding on your next upgrade or purchase.

Redeeming codes for free rewards

Step
In short Codes are worth redeeming whenever you find a working one, but check for expiry and enter them exactly as written.

The game has a code entry feature that pays out free rewards when you enter a valid code. Codes can expire or become single-use, so always check whether a code is still active before trying it. Joining the game's community is the fastest way to hear about new codes as they are released.

  1. Find the code box locate the code entry field inside the game.
  2. Type carefully match upper and lower case exactly, since a single wrong character will cause an error.
  3. Read the error message if the game rejects the code, it is either expired or already used on your account.

Common questions

FAQ

Do I keep earning money when I close the game?

Yes — lockers continue opening and income continues building while you are offline. Make sure every character is placed in your base before you log off. When you return, check your income and locker status before making your next move.

What does K or M mean next to a price?

K stands for thousand and M stands for million, so 25K means 25,000 and 1M means 1,000,000. A price like 1.5K works out to 1,500, which is useful to keep in mind when checking whether you can afford an upgrade or locker.

What is the difference between 'You own' and a Robux price in the shop?

'You own' tells you how many of that item you currently have in your inventory. A number with the Robux symbol next to it is what that item costs to buy with Robux, so do not confuse the two.

Where can I find working codes?

Joining the game's official community is the way to get codes early, as the game description points players there for exclusive codes. Codes can expire or be single-use, so try them as soon as you find them and enter every character exactly as shown.
