Your first moves when a round starts
StepWhen a round begins, Grandma starts moving right away. Before you rush for the nearest cookie, take a moment to see where she is and which direction she is heading. Cookies are scattered around the stage, so a quick look around tells you which ones are safest to grab first. Once you know where a cookie is, click or tap it to pick it up, then move it to a hiding spot before she turns your way.
- Scan the map look around quickly to find where the cookies are sitting before Grandma gets close.
- Watch Grandma notice which way she is facing and how fast she is moving.
- Learn the hiding spots each stage has set locations where you can stash cookies; find them early.
- Hide before she turns make sure Grandma is far away before you commit to hiding a cookie.
Abilities worth upgrading
TableEvery cookie you collect earns you points, and those points go straight into upgrading your abilities. Spreading upgrades across a few abilities beats pouring everything into one. Early stages give you breathing room to build up before Grandma speeds up in the middle stages.
| Movement speed | lets you collect cookies faster and escape when Grandma spots you. |
| Vision | makes cookies glow so they are easier to find across the map. |
| Hiding speed | cuts the time it takes to stash a cookie, reducing how long you are exposed. |
| Grandma's vision reduction | narrows the area she can see, giving you more room to move. |
Staying out of Grandma's sight
TipsGrandma has a field of view, and stepping outside it is the key to staying safe. Walls and furniture break her line of sight. Never rush to hide a cookie while she is nearby — that moment of being stationary is when most players get caught.
- Move in the direction she is not facing, not toward her.
- Use walls and furniture to break her line of sight.
- Only hide a cookie once she is clearly on the far side of the room.
How stages change as you progress
SummaryEarly stages are slower and designed to teach you the basics, so they are the best time to earn points and upgrade abilities without much pressure. In the middle stages, Grandma picks up speed and more cookies appear across the map. Later stages add complexity to the layout and introduce additional hiding spots.
- Early stages Grandma is slow; focus on learning cookie locations and hiding spots.
- Mid stages Grandma speeds up; movement speed upgrades become essential.
- Late stages maps grow larger and more complex; expect cookies spread across new areas.
- Hiding spots each stage has its own set locations, and later stages add more of them.
What to do when you keep getting caught
CheckGoing back to an earlier stage to earn more points is always a valid move.
- Is your movement speed high enough to outpace Grandma when she gets close?
- Are you confirming Grandma is far away before you stop to hide a cookie?
- Have you mapped out her patrol route by watching a round or two without focusing on cookies?
- Have you searched every corner cookies can sit in easy-to-miss spots near the edges of the map?
- Are your upgrades spread across multiple abilities rather than stacked into just one?
Playing without spending
WarnEvery point you need for upgrades comes from collecting cookies, so the free path through the game is completely open. Spending can speed up your progress, but it is not required. Keep clearing stages and your upgrade count will climb on its own.

Common questions
FAQGrandma keeps catching me no matter what I do — how do I stop that?
Upgrade movement speed so you can pull away from her faster, and always confirm she is on the far side of the room before you stop to hide anything. You can also spend a round just watching her path without collecting anything so you can learn exactly where she goes.
Can I finish the game without spending any Robux?
Yes — collecting cookies earns you the points you need for every upgrade, so the whole game is playable for free. If you hit a wall on a later stage, going back to an earlier one to earn more points and upgrade your abilities is an option.
Is it worth going back to an earlier stage when I am stuck?
Replaying an earlier stage lets you collect more cookies, earn more points, and push your upgrades higher before you take another run at the hard stage. It also gives you a chance to practise moving and hiding without worrying about a faster Grandma.
