The core loop

Step
In short Every session follows the same rhythm: fight a wave, collect cash, buy upgrades, repeat.

Each round sends a horde of zombies at your base. Kill them to earn money, then spend that money on weapons and defensive structures before the next wave begins. Zombies get tougher every round, so your upgrades need to keep pace.

  1. Fight the wave shoot every zombie that appears before the round ends.
  2. Collect the cash pick up money dropped by zombies and collect the bonus reward at round's end.
  3. Open the shop between rounds, buy or upgrade weapons and defensive structures.
  4. Strengthen your position place barricades and turrets to slow and damage incoming hordes.

Co-op teamwork

Tips
In short Clear roles and no duplicate buys make a co-op squad far more efficient than a group that just plays side by side.

The game is designed with multiple players in mind. A team that communicates before each round lasts significantly longer than one that doesn't.

Tips worth knowing
  • Agree in chat before a round starts on who buys weapons and who builds defenses.
  • Spread out your gun choices — different weapons cover different ranges and zombie types, so duplicates waste money.
  • Tell teammates where you are placing a turret or barricade so nobody builds on top of each other.
  • Pick up dropped money quickly — leaving it on the ground delays everyone's upgrades.
  • Watch for teammates who are getting swarmed and cover them rather than staying in one safe spot all round.

Glossary

Glossary
Round
One timed wave of zombies; when it ends, the shop opens and you can spend your cash.
Barricade
A defensive structure you build to block zombie paths and slow their advance to your base.
Turret
An automated gun that fires at zombies on its own, giving you constant damage output without using your hands.
Upgrade
A paid improvement to a weapon or structure that raises its damage, durability, or effectiveness.
Horde
The group of zombies that attacks each round; the size and strength of the horde grows with every passing night.

Common questions

FAQ

Can you play alone?

Yes, but the game is built around co-op, so solo play is noticeably harder.

Is there any reason to play on a harder difficulty?

Each difficulty has its own set of night milestones at nights 10, 20, and 30 on Normal, Hard, and Nightmare.

Do you need to spend real money to progress?

No. The in-game cash you earn from killing zombies covers weapons and defenses. Cosmetics and premium items exist but are not required to reach deep rounds.
