Goofy Gods — How a round works
About
OverviewGoofy Gods is a round-based survival game where one player becomes a giant god armed with absurd powers and natural disasters, while everyone else scrambles to stay alive or fight back. Roles rotate every round, so you will play both sides regularly. This guide walks you through how each side works, what the weapons and powers do, and how to keep improving.

How a round works
StepAfter a round ends there is a 20-second break, then players get 10 seconds to vote for either Hide and Seek or Kill the God. The round itself runs for 4 minutes and 30 seconds. One player is selected as the god; everyone else becomes a survivor.
- Round ends wait through the 20-second intermission.
- Vote pick Hide and Seek or Kill the God in the 10-second window.
- Round starts one player is enlarged into the god; the rest are survivors.
- God wins eliminate all survivors before time runs out.
- Survivors win outlast the timer, or kill the god in Kill the God mode.
- Repeat a different player is chosen as god next round, with the chance increasing for those who have not been god recently.
The two gamemodes compared
TableThe vote between rounds decides which style of play you get. Both modes share the same 4 minute 30 second timer and the same god mechanics, but survivors play very differently in each.
| Hide and Seek | survivors cannot shoot; staying hidden and outlasting the timer is the goal. |
| Hide and Seek | coins are earned continuously the longer you survive, with better weapons earning more per second. |
| Kill the God | survivors use weapons to shoot the god; the round ends the moment the god is defeated or all survivors are eliminated. |
| Kill the God | coins are awarded at the end based on damage dealt, one coin per point of damage. |
| God in Kill the God | earns bonus coins for winning; survivors do not earn coins just for winning. |
Playing as a survivor
TipsWhether you are hiding or shooting, staying alive comes down to movement, positioning, and knowing when to use your power-ups. The god can stomp survivors who get too close underneath, dealing 50 damage, so keep distance. At the 30-second mark all survivor locations are revealed, so be ready to move.
- In Hide and Seek, get into a building with only one entrance so you can monitor threats from a single direction.
- Use Super Speed to escape the god or to outrun fast units like Zombies and the Noob Head.
- Use the Forcefield when you are about to take a hit, but not when a Blackhole is nearby — it will still pull you in.
- Use the Water Bomb if you are on fire; it is the only way to survive powers like Supernova, Nuke, or Sun.
- Use the Health Pack when you are low on health, especially if the god is actively targeting you.
- Do not use Invisibility while you are on fire, taking damage from NPCs or area effects, or at the 30-second mark.
Playing as the god
TipsWhen you are chosen as god you start with at least three powers: Boulder, Kick, and Earthquake. Learning each power's range and timing is what separates a god who wins from one who runs out of time.
- Walk into or under structures as you enlarge at the start of the round to destroy them and expose hiding survivors.
- Use Bees when a survivor is cornered — the whole swarm hits at once and can deal up to 72 damage.
- Use Acid Rain from far away since it has a very large range and can remove survivors' limbs.
- Use Acid Spill when many survivors are on the ground, as the barrel creates a wide hazard zone on impact.
- Summon the Dragon when you need guaranteed tracking — it cannot be killed, flies, and always knows where survivors are.
- Use Chickens or Police to lock down survivors: Police arrest them and disable their weapons, Chickens chase them at survivor running speed.
- Stomp survivors who get close underneath you — step directly over them and it deals 50 damage.

Common questions
FAQCan the same player keep becoming the god every round?
The chance of being chosen as god increases with each round you have not been selected. Once you have been god, your chance drops sharply. More players in the server also means each individual player's per-round chance goes down.
What happens if I pick up a Survivor Skill right as I am chosen to be god?
There is a small window between the map loading and the god-selection screen appearing where you can pick up skills. After that window closes, gods cannot collect Survivor Skills.
Is Invisibility reliable in Hide and Seek?
It works well in many situations, but it breaks down if you are on fire, taking damage from an NPC or area effect, or if the 30-second reveal hits. The god can also sometimes still follow a targeted invisible player's movements in Kill the God.
How do I survive a Supernova or Nuke?
The Water Bomb is the only power-up that can save you if you are hit by those powers, because it puts out the fire.
Why did I earn no coins after a round?
You earn zero coins if you survived for no seconds — meaning you were eliminated immediately. In Kill the God, coins come from damage dealt, so you also earn nothing if you never landed a hit.
