Murderers vs Sheriffs 2 is a fast team-based battle game where one side fights with knives and the other with guns. Rounds are short, the modes are varied, and there is a full item collection and trading system on top of the combat.
In shortEvery mode has a different win condition, so knowing the goal before the round starts puts you a step ahead.
The game has four modes, and the victory condition changes completely between them. Team Deathmatch is the most straightforward. The other three layer in objectives that go beyond simply eliminating opponents.
Team Deathmatch
eliminate more enemies than the opposing team.
Capture the Flag
steal the enemy flag and carry it back to your own base.
Kill Confirmed
collect the orbs enemies leave behind when eliminated; picking up the orb is what actually scores the point, not the kill itself.
King of the Hill
occupy the designated zone to tick your team's score up; the capture gauge stops advancing whenever an enemy is also inside the zone.
In shortPlaying normally earns you knives, guns, and cosmetics, and trading lets you swap duplicates for items you actually want.
Knives, guns, and cosmetics appear during matches and go straight into your inventory. The trading system lets you swap items with other players, which is the main way to fill gaps in your collection.
Play matchesitems appear on the map and drop from enemies as you go.
Check your inventoryafter each session, see what is new and what you already have doubles of.

Common questions
FAQ
Which mode should a new player try first?
Team Deathmatch is the best starting point because the only goal is to eliminate enemies — there are no extra objectives to track.
Do I need to spend Robux to get good items?
Items drop during normal play and can also be obtained through trading, so your collection grows for free. Spending Robux expands your cosmetic options but does not give any combat edge.
Why am I not scoring in Kill Confirmed even though I keep eliminating enemies?
Eliminating an enemy only places an orb on the ground — you have to collect that orb to actually earn the point.
Why does the King of the Hill gauge stop even when I am inside the zone?
The gauge stops advancing whenever an enemy player is also inside the zone at the same time as you.
Is this the same as Murderers VS Sheriffs Duels?
No — Murderers VS Sheriffs Duels is a separate game. This guide covers Murderers vs Sheriffs 2 only.
