FMR — Roles you can play
About
OverviewFMR, short for Fredbear's Mega Roleplay, is a Five Nights at Freddy's roleplay game where you pick a character and act out stories with other players. This guide covers how to choose a role, explore the map's locations, follow server rules, and get the most out of each session.

Roles you can play
TableFMR gives you four main roles to choose from. Your choice shapes what you actually do during a session, so it is worth thinking about the current scenario before you commit.
| Animatronic | the restaurant's main performers; you interact with guests and take centre stage in shows |
| Staff | you handle the restaurant's operations and support other characters around you |
| Security Guard | your focus is defence and surveillance, making tense scenarios feel real |
| Visitor | you arrive as a guest, and your play revolves around meeting and reacting to everyone else |
Getting started in your first session
StepThe first few minutes in a server set up the whole session. Take them slowly rather than jumping straight into scenes you do not understand yet.
- Pick a role choose animatronic, staff, security guard, or visitor based on the scenario running in your server
- Read the server rules each server can have its own rule set on top of the game's standard ones, so check before you act
- Check the active scenario find out what story is running so your actions fit in from the start
- Join a scene look for other players already roleplaying and begin reacting to what they are doing
Locations worth finding
CheckThe map contains several distinct areas tied to the Five Nights at Freddy's series. Finding them is part of the game, and each one comes with its own badge. There are also three secret characters hidden somewhere in the game — keep your eyes open as you explore.
- Fazbear's Fright is on the map and rewards you with the Horror Attraction badge when found
- The Afton House is a separate location with its own Home badge
- The Sister Location sits underground and hands out the Underground Facility badge
- Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place is the final major area, earning you the Final Location badge
- Three secret characters are hidden across the game finding each one unlocks its own badge
Staying in character during a scene
TipsGood roleplay comes down to a few habits that are easy to build once you know them.
- Keep your character's personality consistent throughout the scene, not just at the start
- React to what other players do instead of ignoring their actions and pushing your own ideas
- Let stories develop naturally rather than forcing sudden changes in direction
- Listen to feedback from other players and adjust when something is not working
Rules that protect everyone
WarnBecause FMR is a shared space, behaviour that ruins the experience for others is taken seriously. Penalties range from kicks to permanent bans depending on what happened.
Seasonal events
SummaryThe developers at Kypher Studios have run several seasonal events. Each one adds something different to the normal session, along with its own badge.

Common questions
FAQWhich role should I pick as a new player?
If you are a fan of the Five Nights at Freddy's series, starting as the animatronic you like most makes it easy to stay in character.
What happens if my roleplay does not mesh with other players?
Watch what the other players are doing and start responding to their actions rather than pushing your own scene forward.
Can I get banned just for not knowing the rules?
Serious behaviour like harassment or exploiting will get you removed. Reading the server rules and the active scenario before you start is the easiest way to avoid any trouble.
Do I need to spend Robux to enjoy FMR fully?
No. All roles and actions are available without spending anything.
