Getting started on the island

Step

In short Find the restaurant and pick a role.

When you join, you spawn on the island where the restaurant is located. Your first badge, Welcome to Pablo's!, unlocks automatically on your very first visit. From there, everything comes down to one choice: do you want to cook or dine?

Check your badges Welcome to Pablo's! should already appear in your badge list.
Pick a role decide whether you want to play as a chef or sit down as a guest.
Invite a friend having one person cook and one person eat makes the roleplay much richer.

Tips

In short The chef role puts you in the kitchen preparing Italian dishes for guests using ingredients found on the island.

As a chef, your job is to prepare food and serve it to guests. The restaurant uses ingredients from the island itself, including pasta dishes and salmon caught from the island's freshwater ocean. If you want to become an official staff member rather than just roleplaying the role, there is a hiring process you can apply through.

Tips worth knowing

Pasta and salmon are among the dishes you can prepare for guests.
Serving a guest their meal is the core loop of the chef experience.
Joining the real staff team earns you the Staff Member badge — check the official hiring info linked on the game's page to apply.

Dining as a guest

Check

In short The guest role is about sitting down, enjoying the atmosphere, and earning the First Bite badge.

Being a guest is just as valid as cooking. You sit in the dining area, wait for a chef to serve you, and take in the island setting. Earning the First Bite badge simply requires you to dine at the restaurant, so this role has a clear badge reward attached to it.

Find a seat in the restaurant's dining area.
Wait for a chef either a friend or another player — to bring your food.
Eat your meal to unlock the First Bite badge.

Chef: The player role focused on preparing and serving Italian dishes to guests inside the restaurant.
Guest / Diner: The player role focused on sitting down, being served, and enjoying the dining experience.
Roleplay: Playing the game by acting out a character — chef or guest — rather than following a fixed objective.
Staff Member: A badge awarded to players who have joined the official Pablo's restaurant staff team through the hiring process.
Alpha Tester: A badge given to players who were present during the earliest Alpha stage of the game; it can no longer be earned.

FAQ

Is there a goal or a way to win?

There is no finish line, score, or win condition. The point is to enjoy the roleplay — cooking, dining, and exploring the island at your own pace.

How do I become an actual staff member?

There is an official hiring process linked on the game's page. Going through that and being accepted is what earns the Staff Member badge — simply roleplaying as a chef in the kitchen does not count.

I missed the Alpha — can I still get every badge?

Almost. The Alpha Tester badge was only given out during the Alpha stage and cannot be earned now. The other three badges — Welcome to Pablo's!, First Bite, and Staff Member — are all still available.
