Fruit Forager is a chill collecting game where you explore a valley, pick fruits, sell them for coins, and use those coins to unlock new areas and upgrade your gear. This guide covers the core loop, how biomes unlock, what shops sell, and how to make the most of mutations and the index.
In shortEvery session comes down to picking fruits, selling them, and spending the coins on upgrades that let you pick more fruits faster.
You start in the Forest biome with Apple Trees and Pear Trees. Selling fruits in the Building Zone earns you coins and raises your level, and hitting certain levels opens the next biome. Rarer fruits sell for more and push your level up faster.
Pick fruitwalk up to any tree in your current biome and collect what grows on it.
Head to the Building Zonethis is the only place where you can sell fruits and earn coins.
Check your backpackif it is full you cannot pick anything new, so sell before you run out of slots.
Spend coins at the local shopeach biome has at least one shop selling better backpacks, boots, or tiles.
Unlock the next biomeonce your level meets the requirement, the path to the next area opens.
Every shop you unlock has something worth spending on.
Tips worth knowing
Mike's Market sells backpacks from 2 slots up to 8 slots.
Boots raise your walk speed and jump height.
The Snowshop in the Tundra sells backpacks up to 15 slots.

Mutations and why they matter
Summary
In shortA mutated fruit sells for a multiplied price.
Fruits can grow with mutations that change their appearance and multiply their sell value. Some mutations appear only during specific weather. You can also place Mutators on your plot — bought from Peak Products for 25,000 coins each — to passively apply mutations to fruits, with a maximum of five Mutators per plot.

Wet 2x sell price, appears during rain
Golden 2.5x sell price, no weather requirement

The index and how to complete it
Check
In shortThe index tracks every fruit, piece of gear, mutation, furniture, and crate reward you have discovered, and completing all of them earns the Completionist badge.
The index records each fruit, gear item, mutation, furniture piece, and crate reward the first time you encounter it. Exclusive and event-only mutations do not count toward the Mutation Indexer. Completing every category earns the Completionist badge, which the game flags as a significant time investment.

Mutation Indexerdiscover all non-exclusive mutations; event-only ones are not required.
Furniture Indexercollect all non-exclusive furniture pieces.

The Mines and zone secrets
Tips
In shortThe Mines biome type is randomly assigned each visit.
Beyond the main biomes, the Mines elevator can drop you into one of several underground biome variants. The Double Biome Mines is noted as the rarest. Zone 25 also holds a secret: six levers are hidden across the zones, and flipping all of them unlocks a gate and earns the Something Opened badge.
Tips worth knowing
Take the Mines elevator — the biome type (Muddy, Tropical, Volcanic, or Double Biome) is assigned randomly each time.
Double Biome Mines is the rarest outcome.
In zone 25, find all six levers across the zones to unlock the gate.
Each main biome also contains a hidden secret — the Forest secret is near the river, the Tundra secret is behind a tree in a corner, and the Autumn secret is under the map.
08
Building your plot
Tips
In shortYour plot is both your base and your main selling area.
The Building Zone is where you claim your plot and place tiles bought from shops around the map. In Mystic Forest, Conveyors and Sell Pads let you build a factory line that moves fruit to a selling point automatically.
Tips worth knowing
Start with basic Wood tiles from Mike's Market, which cost between 10 and 100 coins each.
Storage Pots cost 100 coins and let you hold rare fruits separately.
Glass tiles from the Snowshop and fancier options from Fancy Furnishings expand your decorating choices as you level up.
Mutators placed on your plot passively try to add mutations to fruits sitting there — up to five at a time.

Common questions
FAQ
Why can't I enter the next biome?
Each biome requires a minimum level: Desert needs level 5, Tundra needs 10, Autumn needs 15, Volcano needs 20, and Mystic Forest needs 25. Sell the fruits you have collected in the Building Zone to raise your level.
My backpack is full and I can't pick more fruit — what do I do?
Head to the Building Zone and sell what you are carrying, then come back. Upgrading your backpack at the nearest shop will increase how many slots you have.
Do I need to spend Robux to finish the game?
No. The Robux Shop in the Desert sells cosmetic tiles only, and every other shop — Mike's Market, The Snowshop, Fancy Furnishings, and Peak Products — runs entirely on coins earned in-game.
How do I get the Tourmaline mutation?
The Tourmaline mutation requires either a Tourmaline Amulet or the Mist weather condition to appear. It multiplies a fruit's sell price by 4x.
What is the Frosty mutation and how do I get it?
Frosty is a limited-time mutation tied to the Winter Event and only appears during snowy weather within that event period.
