How a round works

When a round starts, a 5×5 grid of letters appears on your screen. You connect adjacent letters to form words — neighbors count diagonally too, not just up, down, left, and right. Each word you find adds to your point total, and up to 30 players are doing the same thing at the same time.
- Scan the grid take a quick look at the whole board before committing to one area.
- Trace a word select adjacent letters to spell out a word and submit it.
- Watch the timer the round lasts just over one minute, so never stop.

Finding more words in less time
Tips
Because your score is simply the number of words you find, volume matters more than word length.
- Short words count — two- and three-letter words are plentiful on the grid and add up quickly.
- Work the grid section by section rather than jumping around, so you miss fewer words.
- Check diagonal neighbors — letters that touch at a corner are valid connections just like letters that share a side.
- Stay scanning until the last second; the timer ending is the only reason to stop.
