What to have ready before you start
CheckThe developers specifically recommend keeping a pen and paper nearby, because clues can appear on walls, inside decorations, or tucked under objects. Missing even one number or symbol early on can block you later. Get set up before you load in so nothing slows you down mid-run.
- Pen and paper within reach you will need to write down numbers, symbols, and diagrams as you find them
- Good lighting in the room around you small in-game text is easy to miss in a dark space
Core loop of every room
StepEvery level follows the same rhythm: explore the space, interact with anything that looks unusual, gather clues, and then use those clues to unlock the exit.
- Scan the whole room check walls, the floor, and every decoration
- Click suspicious objects anything that looks out of place can be interacted with
- Write it down immediately note every number, symbol, or diagram the moment you spot it
- Combine your clues match what you have collected to the puzzles and locks in the room
- Watch the timer 60 minutes counts down while you are deep in a puzzle
Levels with multiple endings
TipsNot every level ends the same way. Some require you to make a deliberate choice at a key moment, while others hide a secret path that most players walk right past on a first run.
- HAZARD - The Last Siren has two separate endings, each with its own badge — complete it twice to earn both
- ZAGREB - Keep Your Fear Silent has four distinct endings, each with its own badge
- In DUALITY, do not pull the lever straight away — holding off and taking a different action leads to a secret ending and its badge
- Quitting DUALITY without finishing it also triggers its own badge
When you are completely stuck
WarnSlow down and work through the checklist below.
Limited-time events and their badges
TipsThe game has hosted limited-time events with exclusive badges. Once an event ends, its badges are gone.
- SpookFest 2025 offered a badge available only during that event
- Escape-X Geek 2026 offered three separate badges — one each for ESCAPE ROOM, ESCAPE STUDIO, and GHOST MANOR
Glossary
Glossary- Clue
- A number, symbol, diagram, or piece of text hidden anywhere in the room — on walls, in decorations, or under objects — that you need to solve a puzzle.
- Interact
- Clicking on an in-game object to examine or use it; many objects in each room can be interacted with this way.
- Alternative ending
- A different conclusion to a level that you reach by making a specific choice instead of following the most obvious path.
- Badge
- An achievement awarded for completing a level or meeting a specific condition, such as reaching a particular ending.
Common questions
FAQCan I play alone?
Yes, every level can be played solo. Having friends in the room gives you more viewpoints on each puzzle. The developers note that working together and combining everyone's thoughts is always better than going solo.
Is it worth replaying a level I already finished?
Absolutely, especially on levels with multiple endings. ZAGREB alone has four endings, and HAZARD has two, each tied to a different badge. Going back with a different approach is the only way to collect them all.
