POLICE UPD + GIVEAWAY!
Major updates coming for law enforcement teams including new content and balancing changes - PLUS a live GIVEAWAY that …
San Diego Border Roleplay puts you at a California border checkpoint where every player picks a side — border agent, traveler, or smuggler — and the outcome depends on how well you play your role. This guide covers how to get started, what each role does, how the checkpoint works, and what to watch out for so you can jump in without wasted time.
Everything in this game flows from which side you choose, so don't skip past the role selection screen. Once you've committed, your team's gear loads automatically and you can head straight to the action.
The game's tension comes from these three roles working against or alongside each other at the same checkpoint. Agents and smugglers are natural opponents, while travelers sit in the middle — moving through the line legitimately. Each role also comes with its own vehicles, uniforms, and loadout so you can tell who's who at a glance.
| Border agent | inspect other players' vehicles and catch anyone smuggling contraband through the checkpoint |
| Traveler | go through the checkpoint correctly, follow agent instructions, and get cleared to pass |
| Smuggler | hide prohibited items and try to get through without the agents noticing |
| Agent running the line | sign up as an agent to take charge of the checkpoint and manage inspections yourself |

The checkpoint is where every role collides. Agents wait there and check incoming players; travelers pull up and cooperate; smugglers have to decide how to handle the scrutiny.
Every team plays differently, and the game enforces that through distinct vehicles, uniforms, and gear for each side. Because the kit is automatic, you can switch roles and be ready almost instantly.
Because the checkpoint puts all roles in the same place at the same time, you and your friends don't need to match roles. One person can run the checkpoint as an agent while another tries to smuggle something through. You can also stack the same role if you prefer to cooperate on one side.
The developers take rule-breaking seriously. Using exploits or cheats of any kind — including auto-farming tools — is prohibited, and the developers state directly that offenders will be found and banned. Respecting the other players is what keeps the roleplay working for everyone.

Yes. An agent and a smuggler, or an agent and a traveler, all interact at the same checkpoint in the same session.
Getting caught is part of the roleplay, not a session-ending failure. The situation plays out as part of the story, and you can try again with the same role or switch to something different for the next run.
The developers push updates every two weeks. The development team has said that player feedback shapes what gets added.
Yes. The developers state in the game's own description that anyone who uses exploits or cheats will be found and banned. This applies to auto-farming tools as well as any other form of cheating.
