In short
Every kart you ride adds to your speed, so unlocking more karts is the fastest way to get faster.
Your speed grows each time you ride a kart. Every single kart in the game contributes to your multiplier, so none of them are worth skipping. More powerful karts carry bigger multipliers, meaning the jump in speed you feel from a strong kart is much larger than from a basic one.
- Riding a kart adds to your speed multiplier, no matter which kart it is
- Unlocking a stronger kart gives a larger multiplier jump than weaker ones
- Stacking multiple karts each one layers on top of the last, compounding your total speed

Outside of unlocking karts, you have two active methods for pushing your speed higher.

- Race the map drive around the map to get even faster.

- A value that scales how fast your kart moves, increased by riding karts, training, reversing, and Rebirthing.
- Rebirth
- A progression mechanic that grants you a multiplier bonus, letting you grow your speed further.
- Treadmill
- A training object in the game's training area that directly raises your speed when you use it.
- Reverse
- Driving your kart backwards, which earns additional multipliers each time you do it.
