Choosing your class and race
Step
When you first load in, you pick a class and a race before anything else. Your class shapes how you play, and your race determines your character's traits. If you want to switch classes down the line, Class Reroll items are handed out as Global Goals rewards.
- Pick a class this decides your core playstyle from the start.
- Pick a race this sets your character's species and traits.
- Start playing you enter the game immediately after confirming both choices.

Ways to earn experience
TipsThere is no single route to leveling — several activities all feed into your experience total. EXP Boosts that the community unlocks at certain Global Goals milestones last one hour each.
- Complete PvE quests to advance the story and earn experience at the same time.
- Run dungeons for experience and a chance at rare item drops.
- Use the mining system as another source of experience alongside its material rewards.
- Watch for the one-hour EXP Boost that triggers at the 55k, 75k, and 95k Global Goals milestones.
Gear upgrades and mining
Check
The mining system exists to supply the materials you need for gear upgrades.
- Mine regularly to build up a stock of upgrade materials.
- Upgrade your gear with those materials to raise your combat strength.
Trading with other players
TipsArise Ragnarok has a full trading system where players buy and sell with each other.
- Buy equipment directly from other players.
- Sell items you no longer use.
PvP battles
Tips
PvP lets you fight other players directly. The same stats that carry you through PvE also determine how you do against real opponents.
- Raise your level before engaging in PvP.
- Keep your gear upgraded so your combat stats are competitive.
Global Goals milestones and rewards
TableGlobal Goals track total visits across the game. Once the community hits each threshold, every player receives the listed reward. The 100k gamepass code is only redeemable for one hour after the milestone is reached.

Glossary- Class
- Your character's role, chosen at the start and changeable later using a Class Reroll item.
- Race
- Your character's species, chosen at the start alongside your class.
- Class Reroll
- An item that lets you switch your character to a different class, earned through Global Goals milestones.
- Global Goals
- Community-wide visit targets that, when hit, release rewards for every player in the game.
- PvE
- Player versus Environment — quests and dungeons where you fight enemies controlled by the game.
- PvP
- Player versus Player — direct combat against other players.
- Gear Upgrade
- The system for improving your equipment using materials gathered through mining.
Common questions
FAQCan I change my class after I have already started?
Yes. Class Reroll items are distributed as rewards at the 45k, 65k, and 85k Global Goals milestones.
What happens if I miss the 100k exclusive gamepass code?
The code is only valid for one hour after the 100k milestone is reached.
Is it possible to play without spending Robux?
Leveling, mining, gear upgrades, PvE quests, dungeons, and trading are all free to access. Global Goals rewards, including chests, EXP Boosts, Class Rerolls, and the 100k gamepass code, are also free and go to every player when the community hits each milestone.
