Your first dig to your first hatch
StepEverything starts at a dig site with your shovel. The timing mechanic is simple once you understand it, and Dr. Ivy's lab turns your work into an egg ready to hatch.
- Head to a dig site pick up your shovel and find a spot to dig.
- Hold down on the dig site a meter appears while you hold.
- Release in the green zone letting go at the right moment gets you a better fossil.
- Collect a full fossil set you need a complete set before you can trade it in.
- Bring the set to Dr. Ivy's DNA Lab she exchanges it for an egg.
- Place the egg in the incubator keep it there until it hatches.
Growing your dinosaur through every stage
TipsAfter your egg hatches, feeding is your main job. A dinosaur whose belly gauge stays above half full will grow to the next stage, moving from Newborn through child and adult all the way to Elder. Elders are the largest form. You can raise more than one dinosaur at the same time.
- Feed your dinosaur to keep the belly gauge above half full.
- Growth happens once the gauge crosses that halfway mark.
- The four stages are Newborn, child, adult, and Elder — Elder is the largest.
- A fully grown dinosaur can be ridden across the islands.
New islands and what you find there
CheckOnce your dinosaur is grown enough to ride, the wider map opens up. Each new island has different fossils to collect, plus fishing spots and dive locations on the open sea. The Sunken Grotto is a specific location where you can find sea reptile eggs.
- Buy a bigger boat to sail to new islands.
- Each new island offers different fossils.
- Try the fishing spots on the open sea for rare catches.
- Dive in the sea for rare finds.
- Sneak into the Sunken Grotto to look for sea reptile eggs.

WarnUp to six players can form a team. The Mosasaurus is fought with spears alongside other players.
