How the badge system works

Summary
In short All eight badges fall into two types: finding hidden spots and riding attractions.

Every badge in the game is earned by doing something physical on the map — either riding something or tracking down a hidden location. The badge descriptions themselves are written as clues, so reading them carefully before you set off saves a lot of wandering.

  • Hidden-location badges earned by reaching specific spots on the map
  • Ride badges earned by getting on an attraction and letting it run
  • Suspension Bridge badge earned by falling off, not riding across

Finding the hidden locations

Step
In short The badge descriptions are your best navigation tool — each one points you toward a landscape feature or building type.

Four badges require you to find a place rather than board a ride. The map has real height variation, so think about elevation and the type of terrain or structure you are looking for before you start moving.

  1. Head uphill for Lady's Quarry the clue places it high in the mountains, so work your way to the upper parts of the map.
  2. Look for crops to find Scarecrow Edward he is near barley fields, so scan flat agricultural ground.
  3. Follow unusual architecture for the Banana House a building themed around bananas stands out from everything else on the map.
  4. Check fairground-style areas for Coconut Shy James the clue describes a throw-a-ball type game stall.
03

Riding every attraction

Check
In short Three badges require a full ride, and one requires you to fall — make sure you know which is which before you approach the bridge.

Once you know where each attraction is, earning the ride badges is straightforward. The Suspension Bridge badge is the odd one out: you need to drop off the bridge rather than cross it safely.

  • Board the Rollercoaster and let it complete its run.
  • Climb into the Coal Tipper and ride it.
  • Find Gordon's Slide, described as a rusty structure, and ride it down.
  • On the Suspension Bridge, deliberately walk off the edge to trigger the fall and earn the badge.

Common questions

FAQ

How many badges are there in total?

There are eight badges. Four involve finding hidden spots around the map and four involve rides or falls.

How do you get the Suspension Bridge badge?

You have to fall off the bridge — crossing it safely does nothing. Walk off the edge on purpose to trigger it.
