The two sides and how the map works
SummaryEvery match splits players into infected and humans. The infected try to touch and convert humans; humans try to cut down the infected before everyone is converted. Because the facility layout is randomized every match, the map you learned last round will not be the same one you are playing on now.
- Infected side spread the infection by reaching human players
- Human side eliminate infected to protect the facility
- Map regenerated each match
- Server size up to 40 players per public server
- Items lost on death or when you leave

The next survey is being prepared.
Playing as the infected
StepYour job as an infected player is to reach humans and convert them. Some infections also come in rare variants that look different from the standard form.
- Spread to humans chase and touch human players to convert them
- Chase the Dedicated badge infect 30 times on the same server in total
- Chase the Rapid Replication badge infect 30 times in a row without your streak breaking
- Receive every infection type let yourself be infected by all variants to unlock the 'I got it all' badge
- Watch for rare variants a rare mutation of an infection can appear, which unlocks its own badge when you get one
Playing as a human
StepHumans win by keeping infected numbers low enough that conversion never finishes. Beyond surviving, you can chase kill milestones and kill streaks.
- Rack up kills reach 100 total kills for the '100 kills' badge
- Build a 30-kill streak cut down 30 infected in a row without being infected yourself to earn Destructive Force
- Build a 100-kill streak extend that unbroken chain to 100 for Immutabilis
Playing as Medigoo
CheckMedigoo is a role focused on healing infected teammates. Its dedicated badge, Magical orb of live, requires five infected to all be at full health simultaneously. If any of them die before the badge triggers, they drop off your count.
- Bring all five infected to full health at the same time
- Keep those five alive a death removes that player from your running total
