Getting started

Step
In short Learning shift lock before your first fight makes aiming much easier.

The game itself recommends knowing how to use shift lock before you jump in. Once that feels comfortable, picking a character and reading what it does is all you need to get going.

  1. Turn on shift lock the game recommends knowing how to use shift lock before you jump in.
  2. Read your character some playables have passive abilities that work automatically, so check what yours does before the match starts.
  3. Pick a target badge each of the fourteen characters has its own unlock badge, so choosing one you want to earn can give your first session a clear goal.
  4. Expect rough edges the game is still in active development, so bugs you run into are a normal part of playing it right now.

Flying characters and grounded ones

Table
In short Knowing which characters can fly changes how you approach every fight.

Some characters fight entirely in the air, others stay on the ground, and a few interact with both groups in specific ways.

Hornetflies.
Dragonflyflies; can carry a Tarantula into the air for a combined attack.
Fireflyflies.
Bumblebeeflies.
Mantiscan take out a Hornet mid-flight, earning a dedicated air-combat badge for doing so.
Tarantulaground-based but can be carried aloft by a Dragonfly, letting it shoot down other flying bugs from the sky.
03

The Dragonfly and Tarantula combo

Tips
In short Pairing these two characters gives you an aerial attack that grounded enemies cannot easily answer.

When a Dragonfly carries a Tarantula into the air, the Tarantula can fire on flying opponents from a position they would never reach alone. Both players can also collect badges while they coordinate — the Tarantula earns Aerial Sniper by shooting down a flying bug while being carried, and either player earns Fateful Airstrike by taking out another airborne character during the same fight.

Tips worth knowing
  • The Dragonfly lifts the Tarantula, putting it above the normal range of ground-based attacks.
  • The Tarantula can shoot at any flying bug from that position.
  • If the Tarantula shoots down the last flying character still in the sky, it also earns the Clear Skies badge.
04

Badge situations worth engineering

Check
In short Several badges only appear when you deliberately create the right conditions, so knowing the triggers in advance is half the work.

Most badges in this game fall into two types: beat a specific opponent with a specific character, or be present for a specific moment. The second type is easy to miss unless you know to set it up.

  • Ant versus Ant when two Ant players fight each other, both are eligible for the Not Meant to Be badge, so coordinate with another Ant player to make this happen intentionally.
  • Five Ants together standing near five other Ant players at once unlocks Colonial Beginnings, which requires an organised group.
  • Five Mosquitoes together the same logic applies for Tropical Summer; gather a mosquito swarm with willing players.
  • Spider web kill if a Spider kills a bug caught in its own web directly, it earns Death Sweater.
  • Swallowtail healer kill killing a Swallowtail while it is actively healing you earns the War Criminal badge.
  • Beetle versus Beetle two Beetles fighting each other gives one of them The Heavier Guy badge.
05

Roblox Premium and login currency

Summary
In short Premium members get more currency from logging in, but it does not change how the fighting itself works.

The game awards a login bonus in its currency each time you play. That amount doubles if your account has Roblox Premium.

  • Login bonus awarded each session to every player.
  • Premium multiplier doubles the login bonus currency for Roblox Premium members.

Glossary

Glossary
Shift lock
A control setting that keeps the camera locked behind your character so your aim moves with you rather than spinning freely.
Passive ability
An ability that works on its own without you activating it, unique to certain playable characters.
Playable
Any character you can actually select and control in a match, as opposed to an enemy or background creature.

Common questions

FAQ

How many players can be in one room?

A single room holds up to three players at a time.

Can I play on mobile or console?

Yes, the game supports both mobile and console in addition to PC.

Why did I run into a bug or something broken?

The game is openly in active development, and the developers themselves flag that bugs are present.

How do I tell which characters can fly?

Hornet, Dragonfly, Firefly, and Bumblebee are confirmed as flying characters. Mantis can also fight in the air. Tarantula cannot fly on its own but can be carried aloft by a Dragonfly.

Do I have to play alone to get badges?

Not at all. Several badges, such as Colonial Beginnings and Tropical Summer, require you to be near multiple players using the same character, so coordinating with others is the only way to unlock them.
