Your first steps after joining
StepWhen you join the game you automatically earn the Joined Abyssal badge, which confirms your run has begun. The double jump only activates when a teammate is close to you.
- Move toward a teammate get close enough that the double jump becomes available, then test it with a jump.
- Head for Floor 1 once you can double jump, push forward and aim to clear the first floor.
How the double jump works
TipsPlaying alone removes the double jump entirely, which the game itself warns makes the difficulty much higher. Whether you team up with friends or strangers does not matter — proximity is all that counts.
- You can climb with complete strangers; you do not need to be in a friend group.
- If you go solo, expect the game to be significantly harder because the double jump is unavailable.
Floor-by-floor progress and badges
TipsThe game tracks your progress through official badges tied to specific floors. Floors 1, 2, 3, and 5 each award a clear badge when you finish them. Alongside floor clears, collecting Echoes scattered through the game gives you another goal to chase — gather five of them and you earn the Collected 5 Echoes badge.
- Floor 1 clear — the first milestone.
- Floor 2 clear.
- Floor 3 clear.
- Floor 5 clear.
- Collected 5 Echoes — a separate goal you can chase as you climb.
Secret Challenges and how to complete them
WarnSecret Challenges exist on Floors 2 through 6, giving you five separate challenges to complete. Each one starts at the ground floor, and you must carry the run all the way up to the delivery point at the end of the target floor without stopping.

Yes, solo play is allowed, but the double jump is unavailable without a nearby teammate, which makes the game significantly harder.
Where do Secret Challenges start?
Every Secret Challenge begins at the ground floor, no matter which floor the challenge targets. You then have to carry the run all the way to the delivery point at the top of that floor in one go.

Pick up five Echoes found throughout the floors as you climb. The badge unlocks automatically once you collect the fifth one.
