Tips
In short
A well-placed base is harder to raid and easier to defend than one built out in the open.
Up to 50 players share the island, so a base that stands out is a base that gets hit first.
Tips worth knowing
- Use rocks and height changes as part of your walls
- Start with a small, tight layout and expand as resources come in
- Store resources inside the base rather than leaving them on the ground

Glossary
Glossary- Crafting
- The process of turning collected resources into tools and gear, opened with the Q key.
- Base
- A structure you build on the island that stores your resources and serves as your defensive headquarters.
- Hotbar
- The six equipment slots mapped to keys 1 through 6, letting you swap items without opening your inventory.
- Inventory
- Your full list of carried items, viewed by pressing TAB.
