Core deflection techniques
TipsEvery rally comes down to where you send the ball and when. Double jumping before a return gives you extra hang time, which makes your shot harder to predict.
- Use the double jump to buy reaction time and send the ball from an unexpected height.
- During a clash, curve the ball left or right to bait an early deflect out of your opponent.
- If you are losing a clash, pass to a teammate and have it returned quickly — your opponent will be forced to take a hit or burn an ability.

Jiro — abilities and how to use them
TableJiro is a champion known as the Trickster and costs 6,000 crystals to unlock. His four abilities unlock at different levels, so you gain access to his full kit gradually. Understanding what each ability does on its own is the foundation before you attempt any combo.
| Bomb Jump | throws a bomb that launches Jiro and nearby players away; useful for closing or creating distance, available from the start with 3 charges |
| Bonk | spawns a hammer that hits the ball downward regardless of who is targeted; unlocks at level 30 |
| Side Step | grants one auto-deflect that redirects the ball toward wherever your cursor points when it hits you; unlocks at level 62 |
| Bungee | sticks gum on the ball so it targets you for 5 seconds and gives one auto-deflect on activation; unlocks at level 80 |

Jiro combos and tips
TipsJiro rewards creative play. His abilities interact with each other in ways that can bait opponents into wasting their deflects or blocks.
- Basic combo order is Bungee, Side Step, Bomb Jump, Bonk.
- For a confusion combo, activate Bungee after hitting the ball so it retargets you, then use Bonk — the auto-deflect fires first and baits an early block, then Bomb Jump can push the opponent away while they are out of options.
- In a clash, trigger Side Step so the ball deflects away from the normal trajectory and catches your opponent off guard.
- Use Bomb Jump to reach elevated positions and pressure opponents from above.
- Fire Bonk just before the ball reaches a player to freeze it for a moment and deal damage.

Common questions
FAQHow does Jiro's Bungee ability work in practice?
When you activate Bungee, the ball locks onto you for 5 seconds and you get one free auto-deflect. The key trick is to activate it after you have already hit the ball, so the ball retargets you and your opponent may waste a deflect expecting it to go elsewhere.
Does Death Ball work on mobile?
The game supports mobile, tablet, desktop, and console.
