Mode progression from Standard to Nightmare
StepThere are five main difficulty modes, and you need to clear them in order to access the later ones. Standard is the place to start; Nightmare only appears after you beat Chaos. Endless mode unlocks after clearing any mode and lets you keep going past the final wave, which is useful for farming materials and kills.
- Standard Mode Thirty waves starting with basic toilets; the first boss appears on wave 20 and Boss Toilet 2.0 closes out wave 30. A decent 3-star character can solo it, and a team of 1- or 2-star characters can clear it as long as someone stays alive.
- Hard Mode Enemies start at Metal Toilet tier from wave 1, and the final boss is Boss Toilet 3.0. You will want at least a 4-star character to solo it or a coordinated team of 3-stars. Clearing this mode unlocks Speaker Spider and Camera Spider.
- Insane Mode Forty waves with Metal Toilets making up most of the run; the final boss is Boss Toilet 4.0. Any character stronger than Cinemaman can solo this mode.
- Chaos Mode The longest and hardest mode before Nightmare. Armored toilets are the base enemy, DJ Toilet mini-bosses appear on waves 15 and 25, and the final ten waves act as a boss rush ending with the Scientist and Clown Boss Toilets.
- Nightmare Mode (???) Unlocks after beating Chaos and shows up as the ??? option. Ten extremely dense waves, including the Toilet Emperor on wave 7 and the Awakened Tri-Titan 2.0 on the final wave. You need your most powerful units to survive it.
- Endless Mode Available after finishing any mode; enemies keep scaling past the final wave and mega bosses appear the longer you last.

Early-game character tips
TipsYour first characters are significantly weaker than lategame titans, but using them correctly makes early modes manageable. Avoid moves that damage you or take you out of the fight for long stretches.
- As Cameraman, use your pistol rather than punching — punching drains your own health.
- As Speakerman, do the same as Cameraman and stay away from the knife.
- As TV Man, keep circling the middle of the map and only use the Blue Screen move once toilets have grouped together.
- As Big Cameraman, you mainly just have more health, so stick to punches and kicks until you unlock Ninja Cameraman or Plungerman.
- As Ninja Cameraman, mirror the TV Man strategy and use plungers to clear groups.
- Never use Titan Drillman's second move in a real fight — the 12-second underground travel stops you from dealing damage and leaves your team short for too long.
Hardcore mode and how to unlock it
SummaryAny player who has 50,000 or more kills can activate Hardcore mode, which stacks on top of any other mode. All toilets gain much higher health and deal significantly more damage, but every kill and cash drop is multiplied by 1.5. Beating Nightmare mode while Hardcore is active unlocks Secret Chair Agent, though you still need 700,000 kills before you can actually use that character.
- Requirement to activate 50,000 kills
- Reward multiplier 1.5× cash and kills on every enemy
- Secret Chair Agent unlock condition beat Hardcore Nightmare Mode
- Kills needed to use Secret Chair Agent 700,000
The Forge and late-game crafting
CheckThe Forge is a purple portal in the lobby. Once inside, you can craft characters that cannot be bought with cash alone — they require specific materials dropped by bosses and special enemies alongside large amounts of cash, gems, and kills.
- Reach 100,000 kills before attempting to access the Forge portal.
- Farm Boss Shards and Mega Boss Shards by playing Chaos and Nightmare modes repeatedly.
- Collect Multiverse Orbs by grinding Nightmare Mode specifically.
- Farm Gwa-Gwa and Golden Gwa-Gwa materials in Endless Mode Standard Endless works, and Chaos Endless gives cash and kills at the same time.
- Kill the Jimmy boss in Endless Mode to collect the G-Man item Jimmy has 100,000 HP and fires dangerous lasers.

Common questions
FAQWhat happens when I die?
Dying once on your own does not reset the run. The run only resets to wave 1 if every player on the server has died at least once during that wave.
When should I start thinking about the Forge?
You need 100,000 kills before you can even enter the Forge portal.
How do I unlock Nightmare Mode?
Beat Chaos Mode to make it appear. After clearing Chaos, a ??? option shows up alongside the restart and Endless Mode buttons at the end of a run. It is ten waves long but each wave contains mega bosses, so bring your strongest units.
Is the Laser Big Cameraman worth using?
Avoid Laser Big Cameraman on Insane and Chaos Mode specifically.
What is Onslaught Mode?
Onslaught Mode is a special mode that includes the Elite Juggernaut Astro Toilet as a boss. Playing it awards a secret badge.
