Core controls

Check
In short Three inputs — attack, jump, and dash — form the backbone of every fight.

Everything in Project Smash runs through a small set of inputs. On keyboard you attack with left click, jump with Space, and dash with Q. Console players use X to attack and L3 to dash. Blocking with F (RB on console) reduces incoming damage, and pressing B (R-Dpad on console) triggers emotes.

  • Attack bound to left click on keyboard, X on console
  • Space for jumping usable up to three times in a single airborne sequence
  • Q on keyboard or L3 on console to dash toward or away from an enemy
  • F on keyboard or RB on console to block and cut down damage taken
  • B on keyboard or R-Dpad on console for emotes

Aerial moves: Uppercut and Down Slam

Step
In short Your camera angle while airborne decides which special move comes out, so controlling your view is just as important as hitting the button.

Once you leave the ground, two powerful moves open up. The direction your camera is pointing when you click determines which one fires. Both moves knock enemies in the direction of the hit.

  1. Jump get airborne using Space (up to three times if needed to gain height)
  2. Aim up for Uppercut tilt the camera upward, then click (Y on console) to launch enemies upward
  3. Aim down for Down Slam tilt the camera downward, then click (B on console) to drive enemies downward

When you keep losing

Warn
In short Most losing streaks trace back to one of three habits: not blocking, ignoring distance, or fighting too many enemies at once.

If the same enemy keeps beating you, check the points below before your next attempt.

Worth watching out for
Dying quickly in groups means you are letting more than one enemy attack at the same time; isolate targets and take them one at a time
Aerial moves not coming out means your camera is not pointing clearly up or down when you click

Common questions

FAQ

What should I do first when I start playing?

Get comfortable with left click to attack, Space to jump, and Q to dash. Once those feel natural, start experimenting with aerial moves by jumping and tilting your camera up or down before clicking.

How do I pull off the Uppercut and Down Slam reliably?

Both moves require you to be airborne, so jump first. Then tilt your camera clearly upward for Uppercut or clearly downward for Down Slam before you click.

Do I need to spend Robux to reach level 200?

No. The level cap of 200 is reachable through regular play without any purchases.

Are there codes I can redeem for rewards?

Yes — as of October 1, 2026, there are four working redeem codes tracked for this game. Check the code section on this page for the current list, since codes change over time.
