Eatingfind and eat food scattered across the map.
Fightingdefeat other creatures to gain DNA through combat.
Helping NPCssupport NPCs who are in need and earn DNA for it.
Agingsimply keeping your creature alive earns DNA each time it ages.

The death penalty and how to avoid it

Warn

Lost DNA does not come back. If you die or leave the game without despawning your creature, you lose one tenth of your total DNA.

Worth watching out for
Do not quit while dead or without despawning leaving the game in that state triggers the DNA loss.
Longer survival means more DNA, allowing you to build larger and more powerful creatures.

  • Cooperative play adds DNA from helping NPCs.
  • Competitive play earns DNA through fighting.
