Basic controls on PC

Check
In short Four keys cover everything you need to fight from the moment you join.

All movement and combat tools are mapped to four keys on PC.

  • E dash, closing or opening distance quickly in a fight
  • Left Shift sprint, moving faster than your normal run
  • F carry, picking up a target
  • Ctrl shift lock, linking your camera direction to your movement so your aim stays steady

How kill streaks work

Summary
In short Your streak resets the moment you die, so staying alive matters more than chasing kills.

A kill streak is the number of opponents you knock out in a row without dying. Getting killed by anyone — including your own spike — wipes the count back to zero. Four streak milestones each unlock a badge.

  • 10 kills in a row unlocks Killing spree!
  • 20 kills in a row unlocks Unstoppable!
  • 50 kills in a row unlocks No Life
  • 100 kills in a row unlocks Exploited!
03

The two non-streak badges

Step
In short Both of these badges require only a single specific action and can be picked up at any point during a session.

These two badges have nothing to do with kill counts, so you can go for them whenever you feel like a break from fighting.

  1. Hit a Groove! use the dance emote once and the badge unlocks immediately.
  2. Who put that there! place a spike and then get killed by it yourself; the badge triggers on that self-inflicted death.

Glossary

Glossary
Kill streak
The running count of consecutive kills you get without dying; it resets to zero the moment you are knocked out.
Shift lock
A camera mode toggled with Ctrl that ties your character's facing direction to the camera, making it easier to aim while moving.
Dash
A quick burst of movement triggered with E.
Sprint
Holding Left Shift makes you run faster than normal movement speed.
Carry
Pressing F picks up a target, as mapped in the game's PC controls.

Common questions

FAQ

Does dying to my own spike reset my kill streak?

Yes. Any death resets your streak, including a self-inflicted one from your own spike. It also unlocks the badge Who put that there!

How do I get the Exploited! badge?

Reach a kill streak of 100 without dying. The game's own badge description notes that doing this means you either cheated or have absolutely no life.

What does shift lock actually do in a fight?

Toggling Ctrl enables shift lock, which links your camera direction to your movement direction.
