About

Overview

PROJECT APEX is a co-op shooter for up to four players, set inside TITAN Corporation's genetic-manipulation program and told through a helmet-camera perspective. 01

How missions work

Summary
In short Every session is a mission-driven campaign that you play with up to three teammates, earning income and XP for what you accomplish.

You and up to three other players work through a campaign that traces the history of the TITAN Corporation all the way to the global freeze. Every mission you finish rewards you with income and XP. The story is told entirely from the point of view of a helmet camera, so the action always feels close and immediate.

  • Squad size up to four players, including yourself
  • Reward types income and XP on every completed mission
  • Weekend bonus both income and XP are doubled on weekends
  • Story framing the campaign follows TITAN Corporation's history through a helmet-camera view

What the badges ask you to do

Check
In short The badges cover a range of actions, so rounding out your playstyle earns you more of them than sticking to pure combat.

The game tracks a wide range of actions beyond simply shooting enemies. Hacking terminals, arresting targets, reaching critical state, and equipping specific charms all feed into separate badges.

  • Make your first arrest to unlock TAKING NAMES.
  • Complete a hack successfully for ENTRY IN, ENTRY OUT.
  • Reach critical state for the first time to unlock THE HARD WAY.
  • Finish a mission while someone on your team has the VIRUS charm equipped to unlock INFECTED.
  • MURDERER unlocks the first time you kill an enemy; CEASE FIRE tracks taking an innocent life.
  • Many badges are still listed as coming soon, meaning new objectives will be added as the game updates.
03

Hardware and performance

Warn
In short The game requires at least mid-range hardware, so check your device before investing time in a campaign.

PROJECT APEX is built around high visual fidelity, and the developers are open that there is a limit to how far they can optimise performance. Mid-range hardware is the stated minimum.

Worth watching out for
Mid-range hardware is the minimum.
If you hit performance problems, use the in-game report tool to let the developers know.
The game is still in demo, so further optimisation updates are expected over time.

Playing as a demo — what to expect

Tips
In short Knowing what is already in the game and what is coming helps you set realistic expectations.

PROJECT APEX is explicitly a work in progress. A tutorial, more missions, and outbreak expansions are all planned but not yet available.

Tips worth knowing
  • Report bugs — use the in-game report feature whenever you run into issues so developers can fix them.
  • Tutorial content, new missions, and character model reworks are all confirmed as planned additions.
  • Many of the game's badges are listed as coming soon, so there will be new objectives to chase.
