How combat actually works
TipsCombat in Unusual Force rewards rhythm over speed. Light attacks come out quickly and keep pressure on the enemy, while heavy attacks deal big damage and work as finishers when the moment is right. Locking on keeps your camera fixed to one target, though it narrows what you can see around you.
- Skill 1 and Skill 2 have different effects.
- Heat Action is activated with R on PC or RT / R2 on console.
What to check when you keep losing
CheckIf the same enemy keeps beating you, work through this list before you try again. Each point targets a common mistake.
- Have you fought this enemy enough times to know when it attacks?
- Are you dodging before the hit lands, or reacting after the fact?
- Are you using Block on attacks it can actually block, not on unblockables?
- Are Skill 1 and Skill 2 helping against this specific enemy, or are you burning them for nothing?
- Are you chasing the enemy into a bad position where more enemies can join in?
