Getting started: Tutorial Island and checkpoints

Step
In short Grabbing checkpoints early makes collecting easier across all six worlds.

Before you dive into the harder worlds, spend a little time on Tutorial Island. Once you start picking up checkpoints, press Q to fast-travel back to any you have already found.

  1. Try Tutorial Island first it has optional challenges and a winding layout to get familiar with
  2. Chase checkpoints in each world there are 35 spread across the whole game, and each one you unlock adds a new fast-travel destination
  3. Press Q to fast-travel to any checkpoint you have already collected

Working through the lemonade badge ladder

Tips
In short Lemonades reward you at 12 different milestones, so you will keep earning badges just by playing normally.

The badge thresholds are spread out enough that steady collection across all six worlds will trigger them naturally.

Tips worth knowing
  • Badges unlock at 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 lemonades
  • After 50, the thresholds space out: 75, 99, 120, 150, 180, and 199 are the next stops before the final 200
  • The 199-lemonade badge is called All But One, and its description notes that sometimes all one needs is just one more lemonade
  • Collecting all 200 unlocks Lemonade Champion, the top badge in this track
05

Finding hidden CDs and scattered NPCs

Check
In short CDs are deliberately hidden, and NPCs are numerous enough that a single pass through a world will almost always miss some.

The very first CD badge description calls them secret, which means these are not sitting out in the open. NPCs number 150 across all six worlds.

  • CD badges track at 10, 20, 30, 50, and 65 discs
  • Use fast travel to hop between worlds once you have checkpoints saved
06

Championship Belts: the hardest challenges in the game

Warn
In short The five Championship Belts are ultra-difficult and intended for only the most incredible of gamers.

The game describes these as ultra-difficult and aimed at only the most incredible of gamers.

Worth watching out for
There are five Championship Belts in total
You can return to any world at any time, so there is no penalty for coming back to a belt later
