About

Overview

Blood Sweat and Pixels (BSAP) is a round-based PvP brawler where every round hands you a random set of three items — one melee, one ranged, and one special — and you have to make them work. This guide covers the core loop, how to use boosts, what the items can do, and how to chase the game's badges.

Round Boosts and Life Boosts

Table
In short Round Boosts add a challenge to a single round, while Life Boosts give you an extra upgrade that lasts the whole life.

Boosts were added in update 0.7.0. Winning a round with any boost active earns a badge, and winning with the '1 Health' or 'Perfect Run' boosts earns their own badges on top of that.

Round Boostadds a new challenge rule to one round.
Life Boostgives you an extra upgrade that persists for your entire life, not just one round.
1 Health boostsets your health to 1 for the round; winning it earns a dedicated badge.
Perfect Run boostrequires you to finish the round without taking damage; winning earns its own badge.

Weapon and item tips

Tips

The three community-suggested items added in 0.7.0 — the Bubblegun, Tunnel Claws, and Jetpack — join a larger pool. Several items reward very specific plays.

Tips worth knowing
  • The Grappling Hook can score a kill on its own — aim it directly at a player.
  • The LightDisc can hit three players in one throw.
  • A single Superball throw that hits three or more players earns a badge.
  • The Umbrella lets you stay airborne — staying in the air for 20 seconds with it earns a badge.
  • Pummel Seeds can be placed as traps; having the same player trigger two of them in quick succession earns a badge.
  • The Trowel can launch a pummelled player upward — use a melee combo first, then finish with the Trowel.
03

Gachapods and cosmetics

Summary
In short Cosmetics are purely visual and never affect your items, stats, or round outcomes.

All cosmetics are available through small sets of Gachapods introduced in update 0.7.0. The Classic Sword Icons are the one cosmetic set tied to a badge — collecting all eight of them from Gachapods earns the Sword Fight Completionist badge.

  • Cosmetics change your appearance only, with no effect on gameplay.
  • Gachapods the shop sells cosmetics in small sets.
  • Sword Fight Completionist requires all 8 Classic Sword Icons from Gachapods to unlock.
