Getting started — your first minutes in a match

Step
In short Stick to eating slimes early on and stay away from other players until you have built up some size.

When you spawn, you are small and easy prey for almost everyone else in the server. Slimes are spread across the whole map, so keep moving to find patches of them. Eating slimes alone is enough to grow.

  1. Find open slimes move around the map and collect every slime you can spot before other players reach them.
  2. Watch your surroundings keep an eye on what is moving around you so you can run before a bigger player gets close.

Mid-game growth — when to start hunting players

Tips
In short Once you have real size behind you, target only players who are clearly smaller, and back off the moment larger ones approach.

After you have grown to a comfortable size, eating other players becomes a faster way to bulk up. Choose your targets carefully.

Tips worth knowing
  • Only chase players who are clearly smaller than you.
  • Switch back to eating slimes the moment two or more enemies surround you.
  • Avoid anyone near the top of the leaderboard.
  • Use the edges and corners of the map to approach smaller players.
03

Late-game survival and positioning

Warn
In short Late in a match the leaderboard leader can swallow you in a single touch, so staying out of sight matters more than being aggressive.

By the end of a match the gap between the largest and smallest players is enormous. Getting eaten by the top player means an instant loss.

Worth watching out for
Never approach the current number-one player.
Wait for two strong players to fight each other, then move in on the winner while they are still recovering.
Staying near the edge of the map makes you harder to spot and buys you time.
Farming slimes through the late game is a valid path you do not have to eat players to finish second or higher.
Liking and joining the group gives you an extra 1,000 starting size.

Common questions

FAQ

Why do I keep getting eaten right at the start?

Focus entirely on eating slimes and stay far from other players until you have built up enough size.

Can I beat the number-one player on the leaderboard?

A more realistic approach is to let the top players fight each other and then move in on whoever comes out of that exchange. Farming slimes to climb to second place while the leaders battle is another route to a strong finish.

Is there a way to play with friends instead of against them?

Update 12 introduced a Teams Gamemode that lets players cooperate rather than compete against each other.

Do I need to spend Robux to get the epic skins?

No. The epic skins are earned by topping the leaderboard through normal gameplay.
