Secret Killer — How a round works
About
OverviewSecret Killer is a multiplayer Roblox game where one player is randomly chosen as the monster each round and hunts everyone else, while the remaining players hide, run, and survive until time runs out. This guide covers how rounds work, how to play both sides well, and what to do when you keep getting caught or keep losing your targets.

How a round works
SummaryAt the start of each round, one player is randomly picked as the monster. The monster's job is to eliminate every other player. Everyone else plays as a human and just needs to stay alive until the round ends. When the monster wipes out all the humans, the monster wins. When at least one human survives to the end, the humans win. After the round finishes, a new monster is chosen at random and the whole thing starts again.
- Monster eliminate all human players to win
- Human survive until the round ends to win
- Role assignment random every single round
- Round end triggered the moment one side meets its condition
Surviving as a human
TipsThe human side wins by running out the clock, not by confronting the monster. That means every decision should be about buying more time.
- The moment you spot the monster, move in the opposite direction or drop into the nearest hiding spot
- The edges and back areas of the map draw less monster attention than the centre
- Staying in a small group is harder to spot than being in a large group
- Stopping all movement when you are already hidden cuts down your chances of being noticed
- Always know at least two ways out of wherever you are sitting
Hunting as the monster
TipsThe monster wins by being systematic. Working from busy areas outward, and cutting off the routes humans use to escape, helps the monster find targets.
- Start near where players spawn — that is where the highest concentration of humans will be at the beginning
- Patrol corridors and paths that function as the main escape routes
- When you find someone, close the gap quickly before they can reach a hiding spot
Diagnosing a losing streak
CheckCheck the relevant points below for your role.
- If you keep getting caught as a human are you staying in open areas instead of moving to cover?
- If you cannot find humans as the monster did you check the spawn area and main corridors first?
- If you get spotted immediately are you moving away from other players right after the round starts?
- If hidden humans keep escaping you are you searching the whole map or just repeating the same loop?
- If the same player keeps catching you try completely different hiding spots and routes next round
Things worth knowing before you play
WarnThe monster appearances are designed to be startling, and the atmosphere leans toward horror. Beyond that, if another player is being unpleasant, Roblox's block feature handles it better than arguing back.

Common questions
FAQIs the monster chosen randomly every round?
Yes, a new monster is picked at random at the start of each round. No player can predict or control when they will be chosen, so everyone ends up playing both sides over the course of a session.
Can I help teammates who have already been eliminated?
There is no mechanic for reviving eliminated players. What you can do is run alongside surviving teammates to share escape routes, or draw the monster's attention away from others to give them more time.
Do I need to spend anything to play the full game?
All the core gameplay — playing as the monster, hiding and running as a human, and taking part in every round — is free. You can get the full experience without spending anything.
