About

Overview

This My Summer Car fan project on Roblox puts you alone in rural Finland with a disassembled car, an empty wallet, and a body that needs food and water to keep going. Your main goal is to rebuild the Satsuma from scratch while earning money through jobs and keeping your character alive. This guide covers survival basics, getting around the map, building the car, and driving it once it runs.

Survival basics before anything else

Check
In short Keep hunger, thirst, and fatigue under control or you will not be able to do anything else.

The panel in the top left of your screen tracks your needs at all times. Thirst, hunger, stress, and urine each build up continuously, and if any of them overfills to one and a half times the bar without being relieved, you die. Fatigue works slightly differently — when it overflows that far, you start blacking out instead of dying outright. Dirtiness only brings flies, so it is the one need you can safely deprioritize.

  • Drink water at home by using the tap with the left mouse button, then lean into it with Q.
  • Away from home, use beer sparingly for thirst too much causes drunkenness — or find one of the water wells around the map.
  • Press N repeatedly to relieve stress quickly, or smoke a cigarette, but note that smoking builds addiction.
  • Press P to urinate, and only do it outside, in a toilet, or in the shower indoor puddles are permanent.
  • Unplug the phone before sleeping so a late-night call does not force you awake at an inconvenient time.

Getting around the map

Table
In short Each starting vehicle has a real trade-off, so pick the one that matches what you need to carry and how fast you need to get there.

Three vehicles are available from the start: the Jonnez ES moped, the Kekmet tractor, and the boat. National Route 70 circles Lake Peräjärvi and is the main road connecting your home on the Kesselinperä peninsula to the village of Peräjärvi and the other locations around the map.

Jonnez ESfast at up to 80 km/h but requires a helmet that blocks your view, carries almost nothing, and tips easily on a keyboard.
Kekmet tractorvery slow but stable, carries plenty, and can tow a trailer for even more cargo.
Boatfastest route to the village dock since it travels in a straight line across the lake instead of around it, but items can fall overboard if you overload it.
03

Saving and managing time

Warn
In short The game has no autosave and only one save slot, so think carefully before you quit.

You can only save at a toilet or outhouse by choosing save and quit. Saving jumps time forward to the next even hour, which you can use deliberately to skip ahead. The game has a single save slot — starting a new game permanently deletes the previous one.

Worth watching out for
The game does not pause when you press Escape; only suspending the process with an external tool stops time.
If you start with permadeath on, dying wipes your save file entirely that choice cannot be changed after a new game begins.
Back up your save file by copying the .txt file from the LocalLow folder in AppData if you want a safety net.
04

Your first trip to town

Step
In short Charge the battery and order parts before you leave home, or you will waste an entire trip.

Before heading to the village of Peräjärvi, there are two things to do at home that cannot wait. First, place the old battery next to the battery charger at the back right of the garage so it begins charging — leave it too long and it dies permanently. Second, open the parts catalog in the garage and order the fuel mixture gauge and the ratchet set; a letter will appear which you need to bring with you and drop in the post box at Teimo's shop.

  1. Check the pistons note which ones look darker than the others, because those are the ones to buy replacements for at Fleetari's repair shop.
  2. Load the tractor trailer take the black diesel canister from the woodshed, a beer case, and sausages from the fridge for the road.
  3. Attach the driver seat to the Satsuma before leaving this starts a 90-minute real-time countdown for the delivery van to appear.
  4. Drive to Fleetari's repair shop first buy a starter, an alternator, and replacement pistons only for the ones you noted, then continue toward the village.
  5. Stop at the abandoned farmhouse on the way use the tractor forks to open the barn door, climb to the attic, and collect the four wheels stored there.
  6. Post the letter at Teimo's shop post box parts from the catalog arrive a few days later, so sending it early saves time.

Manual transmission driving

Tips
In short Shift at around 3,500 to 4,000 RPM in normal driving, and always press the clutch before the engine drops too low.

Almost every driveable vehicle in the game uses a manual gearbox. Getting comfortable with the clutch is the single biggest skill to develop, because stalling in traffic or on a hill can leave you in a dangerous spot.

Tips worth knowing
  • Press the clutch fully before starting the engine so the car does not lurch if you left it in gear.
  • Release the clutch slowly while adding gentle throttle from a standstill — too much gas spins the wheels, too little stalls the engine.
  • Shift up when the engine reaches around 3,500 to 4,000 RPM; use Second gear as your baseline for slow corners rather than dropping all the way to First.
  • On steep hills, downshift early to keep torque up — falling below that RPM range on a grade is a sign you need a lower gear.
  • Mount the tachometer on the dashboard so you can actually see your RPM instead of guessing.
  • On the highway, reach top speed quickly and stay there — driving too slowly on the main road is genuinely dangerous.
06

Building the Satsuma

Step
In short Check that all the parts you need are on hand before you start bolting anything together, because a mistake mid-build means disassembling everything again.

The car arrives completely disassembled. Some parts share bolts, so tightening one component too early can block you from fitting the next one. The ratchet set and spanner set are the main tools for assembly. Once the engine actually starts, you earn the badge called It runs.

  1. Gather parts first confirm you have every component for the section you are about to build before picking up the ratchet.
  2. Watch bolt order when two parts use the same bolt points, fit both loosely before fully tightening either one.
  3. Fill fluids before the first start the radiator needs coolant or the engine will overheat, and the engine needs motor oil.
  4. Use the motor hoist to lift the engine in and out of the engine bay.
  5. Bring the warning triangle and make sure no forbidden parts are fitted before taking the car to the inspection shop at Peräjärvi.
07

Jobs and earning money

Summary
In short Take on jobs early and consistently so you always have money for parts, fuel, and food.

Sixteen jobs are available in total, each with different difficulty and pay. Phone calls at home are how several jobs get started, so keeping the phone plugged in during the day matters — just unplug it at night to avoid unwanted wake-up calls.

  • Firewood delivery chop and haul firewood for a straightforward early payout.
  • Kilju brewing brew the alcoholic drink using yeast and sugar in the bucket, then sell it to the neighbor for the best price when quality is highest.
  • Septic tank pumping drive the Gifu truck to empty tanks around the map, a reliable but messy job.
  • Haybale delivery move haybales to their destinations using the tractor.
  • Hauling wrecked cars transport damaged vehicles to Fleetari's repair shop for payment.
  • Driving Jouko home a late-night call asks you to collect a drunk neighbor from the pub.
08

Island cottage and stress relief

Tips
In short The island is the best place in the game to lower stress, but you need to plan ahead before crossing the lake.

A small island sits in the northwestern part of Lake Peräjärvi and can only be reached by boat. The cottage there has no running water or electricity, so pack food and drink before going. Staying on the island actively reduces stress.

Tips worth knowing
  • Pack food and drink before leaving — there is a water well behind the cottage as a backup.
  • Place the fish trap from the porch into the water and it will catch fish automatically for you to cook and eat.
  • Use the firewood-operated brick grill outside the cottage to cook meat and brew coffee.
  • Inside the cottage you can find a lantern, a camera, a coffee pan, and the bucket with its lid needed to brew kilju.
  • The island toilet lets you save your game.

Common questions

FAQ

Do I need to buy a gamepass to play the full game?

No. The game has no gamepasses that are required to access any part of it. Everything is available without spending Robux.

How do I open the options and cheats menu?

Press M at any time to open the options and cheats menu.

Can I get the Jonne badge without doing anything special?

The Jonne badge is earned by driving the Jonnez ES moped.

Why did my car fail the inspection?

Even a single missing bolt causes the inspection to fail, costing you the inspection fee. Double-check every bolt on the car before driving to the inspection shop, bring the tractor's warning triangle, and make sure no parts that cause automatic failure are installed.
