About

Overview

Grand School Escape is a school-themed obstacle and puzzle game where you work through stages, solve mazes, collect apples, and take on two boss fights to break out. This guide covers the main loop, apple collecting, boss fights, difficulty options, and the shop so you can get further on every run.

The basic loop

Step
In short Every run follows the same pattern: clear puzzles, grab apples, beat bosses.

Each stage asks you to solve puzzles and navigate mazes before you can move to the next area. The game gets harder as you push further in. At the end, two boss fights stand between you and the helicopter escape.

  1. First boss fight beat the first boss to earn the Graduate badge.
  2. Second boss fight clear this to finish the game and escape in the helicopter.

Apple collecting across multiple runs

Tips
In short Apples carry over between runs.

Apples are spread across the stages and cannot all be collected in a single playthrough. Once you gather every apple, you unlock a permanent damage boost that applies to boss fights for all future runs.

Tips worth knowing
  • The damage boost kicks in automatically once the last apple is collected, so it carries into every run after that.
  • The Healthy Food badge unlocks when you have collected every apple in the game.
03

Boss fight preparation

Check
In short Having all apples collected before your serious boss attempts makes both fights noticeably easier.

There are two boss fights. The first awards the Graduate badge; the second awards Exorcism. Both fights are easier once the apple damage boost is active.

  • Check that you have collected all available apples before a serious attempt, so the damage boost is active.
  • For the Sacred badge, survive the second boss fight without taking any damage.
  • For the Safe badge, survive the first boss fight without taking any damage.
04

Difficulty levels and speed challenges

Table
In short The game offers five named difficulty settings, each with its own badge. Three timed badges add a separate layer of challenge.

05

Shop items and when to use them

Tips
In short Shop items are optional extras that help with movement and make co-op more fun, but the game is fully completable without them.

The shop sells several items added in update v1.8. None of them are required to reach the ending.

Tips worth knowing
  • The grappling hook lets you move like spider-guy, which speeds up movement.
  • The taser, food bazooka, and staff of telekinesis are best used when playing with friends, since they all interact with other players.
  • The staff of telekinesis can help a friend who is stuck — or throw them into a pit.
  • Every stage and both bosses can be cleared without any item.
06

Challenge and secret badges worth knowing

Tips
In short A few badges reward unusual play styles.

Beyond the standard completion badges, several achievements push you to play differently.

Tips worth knowing
  • Blessed requires finishing the game without dying on any difficulty.
  • Untouchable requires finishing without taking any damage at all.
  • Indiana Jones is earned by dying from a rolling stone.
  • Racer demands a full clear in under 20 minutes.
  • Really Grounded asks you to die 100 times in a single playthrough.
  • Undead requires dying 50 times in one playthrough.

Common questions

FAQ

Can I collect all the apples in one run?

No — apples are spread across multiple playthroughs by design. Keep replaying and the total carries over until you have found every last one, at which point the damage boost unlocks permanently.

Do I need shop items to finish the game?

No. Every stage and both boss fights can be completed without buying anything. The shop items make movement easier or add fun interactions when playing with friends, but they are entirely optional.

What happens after I beat the second boss?

You escape in a helicopter, which earns you the Helicopter badge and ends the run.
