Getting the car ready
StepBefore you touch the throttle, you need to reset the car properly. Hold R for a full second, then release — that is the hard reset. Once the car is reset, press V to start the engine.
- Hold R for one second, then release hard-resets the vehicle to its starting state.
- Press V starts the engine after the reset is complete.
Manual driving controls
StepThis game simulates a real manual transmission. You disengage the clutch before selecting a gear, then ease the clutch back in while feeding in throttle. The game tells you the basics and leaves the rest for you to figure out.
- Hold left shift disengages the clutch so you can change gears.
- Press E shifts into first gear while the clutch is disengaged.
- Press W while releasing left shift feeds gas as you let the clutch back in, getting the car moving.
Areas and what each one asks of you
TableThe map has three main challenge areas, each rewarding you with a badge when you succeed.
| Obstacle course | drive through it to earn the basic completion badge; finish without resetting the vehicle at all to earn the harder badge. |
| Race track | find and visit the track area to unlock its badge. |
| Sky tower | reach the very top to unlock the badge. |
| The pit | falling in earns its own badge. |
Things that will hurt your run
WarnThe game detects when the obstacle course is completed in a way that is not legitimate. If that happens, you receive the cheater badge rather than the normal completion badge.
Secrets and odd moments worth trying
TipsNot every badge here is about clean driving. Two of them happen when things go wrong in interesting ways.
- Find the pit on the map and drive into it — falling in earns you The Pit badge.
- Get flung into the outer world to unlock the Floating Point Error badge.

Common questions
FAQThe engine won't start — what am I missing?
Hold R for a full second, release it, and then press V.
The car moves but immediately stalls. How do I fix this?
Hold left shift, press E for first gear, then slowly release left shift while pressing W.
I finished the obstacle course but got the cheater badge instead of the normal one. Can I get the right badge now?
The cheater badge is given when the course is completed through an illegitimate method. Run the course again using only the manual driving controls and the normal completion badge will unlock on that successful finish.
