Getting into your first match

Step

In short Joining a match and scoring once is everything you need to do in your first session.

When you load in, you have two ways to start playing: jump straight into the main 4v4 game or choose the Pickups option. The main game mode is where MVP and Hat Trick badge progress happens.

Choose a mode select the main 4v4 game or choose Pickups.
Score your first goal put the puck in the net once to unlock the Score badge.
Pass to teammates assists count toward long-term badge progress.

Tips

In short Mixing goals with passes and physical hustle moves you toward multiple badges at once.

Every match is four players against four. Both your goals and your assists are tracked across your lifetime of play.

Tips worth knowing

Pass frequently so teammates can score — each assist you record counts toward the Helping Hand badge.
Stay close to the puck so it can deflect off your head and earn you the Deflector badge.
If you want the Hat Trick badge, score 3 goals in a single match.

Glossary

4v4: A match format where four players compete on each side, making eight players total in one game.

Hat Trick: Scoring three goals inside a single match, which unlocks the Hat Trick badge.
MVP: The Most Valuable Player award given to the top performer at the end of a main game match.
Deflector: The badge you earn when the puck bounces off your head during play.
